Hello everybody!
I am currently driving a third generation Camaro and is now thinking of also buying a Fiero. I have some concerns/questions about the car that needs an answer before i can consider to buy one, the biggest concern is the space for the driver/passenger.
1. I am 196cm, will i be able to sit somewhat comfortable in a Fiero or is it simply to small? In the Camaro ( t-top ) the seat is tilted backwards and i have no problem with headroom. There is no problem to fit the legs under the steering wheel either ( adjustable ).
2. Is it a big difference in headroom between a hard top and a Fiero with sunroof?
3. How is the Fiero in the winter, is the heating capacity good enough to keep the driver warm even if it is 25 degrees below 0 outside?
4. Is the steering wheel adjustable? ( if it is, was that standard on all Fieros or an option )
Thank you in advance!
/Peter

If my math is correct you are 6 ' 5" ? That's a half a foot taller than me, but others that size drive Fieros. Compared to a 3rd gen Camaro you probably will have more legroom.

The sunroof version does have a little more room. All Fieros have the hole in the space frame, and can be made into sunroof versions by swapping the roof skin and sunroof components.

It doesn't get cold where I live, I can't answer this one.

Fieros did come with a tilt wheel option. It seems that virtually all of them came this way. It's pretty easy to swap the column if you find one you like that doesn't have the option.

I am 6'4" tall and 220 lbs. I have several fieros. One is a top chop non sunroof car, one is a rebody with a sunroof, and a nochie with a solid roof. I fit in all but the top chop takes some positioning to make work. hope this helps your decision!

Important note: Don't pull on the steering wheel on adjustable steering column to get in and out. They are pretty weak and will no longer be adjustable after you do.

1> you'll have plenty of room. I am tall myself, and fit just fine. tall is fine - fat is not. wide people dont fit so well.... 2> again - plenty of room 3> yes, the heating capacity if very good - small cabin area makes that easy. the problem is traction. with the light front end, you have no braking or steering. 4> I dont know if tilt wheel is standard.

I'm 15 and about 6'5" and a half-ish. I think it has tons more room than my brothers 2002 t/a even with the seat back. The passenger side even has more leg room in a Fiero! Also my brother is 6'8", he drives my car sometimes and he fits fine. Now thats saying something...

I often drive one of my friends around and he is 6'4 and 270 and if I hit a bump to hard he hits his head on the roof and he has to squeeze in but he is a big guy. I don't know how 6 foot + can get comfortable in the cars but im 5'10 and it is perfect for me but I have owned 3rd gen fbodys and those cars are to big for me and my monza is in the same category as the fiero for size but if all these giants can fit then I guess you can.

I'm 6'-2" and have plenty of headroom and legroom. Getting in and out can be a bit touchy sometimes, but thats just wear and tear on the chasis (mine, not the cars) starting to show.

Well, doesnt seem to be impossible to fit into the car after all.
I want to thank all of you that have contributed with your experience in this thread, looks like i have to start to plan a purchase of a Fiero now
Once again, thanks for your input, it is highly appreciated.
I'm 6'4" but I am tall in the upper torso (I wear 32" pants). I fit fine and can sit up but with the sun roof I can feel my hair touch the roof around it.
My legs are fine. I think even with 36" legs it would be ok.
