Today i started trimming the panel, it was going fine untill my month old dremel died in the middle of trimming the front fashia. so i took a break from the car and looked a VDC kits online..
first being the paint. im seriously leaning towards Lamborghini pearl met tangerine. (Arancio Borealis) or possibly a silver glitter metalic. consisting of # 3 met. flake or possibly poly flake.
any suggestions or photoshops?
im also considering installing Kmunson flushmounts. or trying to incorporate 300ZX lights into the hood.
should i do one of these? or stay bug eyed? photoshops?
I love the metallic tangerine paint... I'd go with that for certain.
As to the headlights... something a bit more "modern" would definitely be an improvement (very few things scream "80's GM" quite like rectangular pop-ups). Flush mounts would work, as would a low-profile pop-up with some circular lights. Newer assemblies would also be pretty cool, but likely a heck of a lot more work
Personally I think you should cut out that rear fender well :P, thats the one thing that always bugged me about the artero. Its a really nice kit, but there is too much empty space between the sail scoops and the wheel. not to mention the difference in shape between the front and rear fender openings :P
Just a thought.

sme dont like it. i love it. but then again i love the fenders on fino's too. I love the big car looks with the little car feel. i like madcurls idea for the head lamps but i think the nsx lamps are out of my range. a set of 300zx lamps would be a lot more affordable. im sure i can blend either into the fieros lines. but the HID makes me wonder about the wiring.. I can hardly hook up cable to my TV. so its scary thinking about wiring either up.

Hint, hint......Wait a few more weeks and the wiring issues will became avaliable and how to install them.

By opening the wheel well, you'll have more options in the kind of off-sets....similar to Troyboys chopper. If you like what Archie's crew performed on Troy's-----then you know just how your car will look like once it's opened up IMO.
Never bolt-on someone's pipe dreams....Tweek it like "your mama told you" hehe. After all, you did "tweek" the hood, right? IMO it's better for a person who looks at you're car and say, "hey, it's an Arteo...but it's different and better but, I don't know why? Hmm".
madcurl.

Oh i understand now. I like that, though i think his looks kind of poor, it looks like someone got carried away with a sawsall with a good intetion. if it werent so flat and the lip was flaired and a little thicker i would be happy with it. question.. Do you guys think the artero would look bad if i were to flair the quarters out more. and widen the front fenders? making a over all wider car? or is it wide enough?
thanks for the link clint. and Madcurl, see you in september, btw anymore inforamation on that crazy guys headlamp idea? sounds interesting....
I'd suggest getting rims before you do anything more with widening.. lol You might need to get custom control arms and axles for the widened kit cars...

Well, since you said you were looking for suggestions, I'll throw in my two cents...
I *hate* the rear wheel well on the artero. It's too flat on the top and overhangs the tire. I see you have some skill with fiberglass, so my suggestion is that you modify the rear wheel well to be round like every other sports car on the planet instead of a 1939 cadillac. Might as well give it a flare while you're at it...
Just my opinion...

after a couple months with out becoming motivated enought to even walk out and look at the thing. i finally went out and started on it again, ill post some pics tonight of the progress. im going to go back out and work while i still have motivation, figures! i get ants in my pants when it starts getting cold out again. well here we go.
front brakes together, cleaned up a little. ( yes stock brakes, once the cars together i plan to drive it to archies for big brakes, and something else that has not been discussed.
its a little prettier without the 14" steelies.
ran new grounds for my taillights.
Ok im not sure where i heard it. but someone made a joke about us guys with rebodys that have hard to get to engine compartments, is goes something like... "How do you work on the motor? do you set up scaffelting?" well now for the rest of the story....vvvvv
Wax up the front fender arches and fiberglass a layer over them to make molds for parts to use on the rear fenders. Then you'd have the shape your looking for on the rear.
edit to add: Go with the 300ZX lights it will just look right
I like your choice for the color too!

Its made for a pick up. i tossed the package so i couldnt tell you what model right now, But its made by Bully, there are two sizes availible via autozone's truck accesory dept. this is the smaller of the two. and after some comparision over a stock fiero unit it appears to be slightly larger in O.D and should work as a replacement of the factory unit with some slight trimming of the stock opening.
i finished the fiberglass work on the top side of the hood finally! now i just have to do some handy dandy homebrew gelcoat, a little filling, a little sanding, and a little paint. oh and cut out the vents...
i got the gas door final mounted and blended.
started mounting my new oil filter relocation kit.
and then dropped the tank for the new fuel pump.
then a little off topic... I mounted my old 16"s on my 87 coupe...
