Anyone have pictures of a Getrag GM OEM slave. The unit and maybe some internal pictures? With all the reported problems with these afdtermarket slaves receintly I want to see if I can find a manufacturer to make some good steel ones. Might be a long shot.

Rodney:

I have the old one off my 88GT. I can ship it to you or bring it to you at the swap meet in late April. I would like to get it back at some time. I am keeping it as a core for a possible rebuild kit later.

Let me know.

Paul

There are already some steel ones out there. Just use the slave from a 4-speed fiero ('85 or 86). You need to drill out the mounting holes so that it slips onto the '88 studs and you need to replace the plunger rod with the shorter '88 rod and you're done! Works great PLUS they came with heat sheilds which make them last even longer.

While this is true in time they will be gone also. This is a GM slave correct? Are the aftermarket 4 speed slaves cast iron also?

Yes, it's a GM slave. I am not sure about the aftermarket however.

That one has the wrong bore size.
