You are inside the car. When you look at the handle/latch, there will be two little black buttons on either side. Press said buttons and pull on the handle/latch as though you're just popping it open. The handle should come out of the latch assembly. Now lift up the glass, and flip the handle under the glass. Now step outside, and slip your fingers under the glass by the latch, lift about 6 inches and slide back. It should slide out of the holes it pivots on. Now you can put it in the front compartment. The super easy part is getting it back in, good luck with that.
By the way, I was being a tad sarcastic, but it's not terribly difficult. Just reverse everything that I just said.
