I'm not going to spend too much time typing this out, but I just purchased my first fiero, a recently repainted maroon red '87 GT. She's so beautiful! I love her voice, too: that v6 sounds wonderful, and mean when I get on it. (I like my girls spicy anyway.) Like any 18 year old girl, she has her problems, but nothing major. If I knew how to swoon, I think I would be.
I'll post some pictures when I get her cleaned up a bit tomorrow.

5:20 AM, I haven't slept (spent a good three hours burning gas), I'm going to be starting repairs on my baby tomorrow, and all I can think about is how I could be outside in the freezing cold cleaning the very dirty inside of my Fiero's windshield or driving more. I thought I was bad before I got a Fiero, surfing Pennock's and 60degreev6 at work and all that... hah!
Now where's that windex...

Your life will never be the same. Oh you'll try to leave eventually but you always come back. They have a strange way of becoming priority # 1 at the worst times. Can't wait to see it down at Eds.

My baby will be 19 on March 25th, but I don't think she looks a day over 5.
i turn 23 that day...that's funny, i'm not sure when my fiero was born. boy if my car just happen to come off the line the same day yours did....that would be cool as hell! then i could justify getting gifts for my car...
oh yah, congrats on the great deal, i payed $1000 for my 86 GT and it's motor is shot so i'm sure you're smiling.

I'd be smiling if I were you, too. Fieros are worth it, shot engine or no. Just the confused stares I get are worth it. I still need to get some good pictures, but I need sleep worse and I haven't found time to wash my little darlin' yet. Like any other girlfriend, she's already burning a hole in my wallet, between gas (bad TPS sensor, idles ~2k when hot, and bad temp. sending unit so she's running rich as a pig), tag, insurance, and the previously mentioned parts.
But she loves me back, too. The right window motor that wasn't working and the left headlight motor that was too weak to make it up all the way (after we put the new bearings in) both decided to work perfectly as soon as I pulled out of Silverdosica's driveway. Would they work when he pushed the buttons? Nope.
I'm definitely looking forward to Ed's too.

You know what Brick? "The Goat" won't hardly crank or run for our Mecahnic friend, but always does for me. Maybe it is because he talks so bad to them while working on them.
neverendingproject good to hear from you. Hear it has been raining for 22 days in Seattle. It was 70 and sunny here yesterday. See ya at Ed's!

I mean the Iroc hated him the 87 coupe just didnt wanna go anywhere the dodge well its just a dodge and if you remember right the lil 88 coupe i was the last to drive it cause you sat down and it just said click. And just look at poor spot i had nothing to do with the need for body work.. (spot is a 93 trans am) any time to go ot work -Silverdosica

There was talk of a twelve step program once for those of us with the fever, but I think stimpy called that guy a name and a flame war insued. Seems like most everyone around here agrees that twelve step programs are for quitters and mustang drivers.
Now get some pictures up!
Fiero's are like boobs no two are exactly alike, you gotta see them ALL to truly apreciate them.

LOL! You were only 4 years old when my car was born. Dang, I'm getting old! That's cool though. I'm sure glad there is a younger generation with interest in these cars. Oh, and there are many reasons to "justify" gifts for your girl. YOUR birthday, HER birthday, Christmas, New Years, etc. Just ask my wife, she's heard them all.
Also, go to the Pontiac Historic Services website. You can order your car's invoice and they'll even send you a press photo of your car. You can also order a reproduction window sticker. I did all of the above so I have quite a bit of info on my car. I'd recommend that to everyone that truly loves their Fiero.
jeez, 23 sounded old to me, lol. just kidding. i got to thinking late last year that my car would be 20 years old this year, it's wierd cause it doesn't seem that old. same with my neon though, i got that in 2000 and it was only 2 years old now its 8!! crazy.
BTW: thanx, i may have to check out that website. it would be nice to get all that information for my car.
You can't tell in this picture, but that sail panel is cracked almost in two.
This sail panel isn't much better.
These are my new seats, courtesy of a buddy-to-buddy "loan" from Silverdosica. We found these excellent seats inside a '92 firebird at a local automotive junkyard. The firebird had over 200k on the clock but the interior and exterior (except for the whole "wreck" problem...) were gorgeous. We had already removed part of the bird's t-top assembly and interior to put into Silverdosica's IROC, and the yard pulled the t-top glass off the vehicle and put the glass on a rack. It was only a matter of time until it would rain and ruin these beautiful seats. As even the ricetastic seat covers on my GT were wearing through (much less the seats themselves) Silverdosica bought the firebird seats for me and told me to pay him back when I can. We put them in last night.
The shifter knob in this picture came off of what I would presently call our parts car. Silverdosica, however, will swear to you that the 88 notchie will run again one day. While he is in the middle of ripping yet another part off of it.

Wow....nice car!! Welcome to the Grande Obsession!
You, my friend, have entered into a strange, new and occasionally perplexing world. I've had 4 Fieros in 6 years (each one more elaborately pampered than the one before) and I've loved every fingernail breaking minute of it. The obsession wouldn't be so bad if you couldn't do so much to the cars...engines/bodies/interiors/you name it. I LIKE my Mercedes...I LOVE my Fiero!
My wife once said that if she filed for divorce, she was gonna name the Fiero as "co-respondant." The fact is the Fieros have been a lot more reliable than she has. At least THEY warm up and move quickly.

But you would be lost without me helping you so you would have to get my grand dad to help you weld and such which would take longer than fixing the camaro lol -Silverdosica
