Okay is a cold windy sunday afternoon, and no new parts for the car, not a whole lot else to do right now, lol.

Now you can either just toss something out there, or if you too are bored, read the life story of my car and see if something pops to mind.

Okay here it goes, about 2.5 years ago I drove to Boston (24hr round trip) to trailer it back, had been pulled from a J/Y. Brought it here, put in a rebuilt engine, went over the interior, stripped the body off and had it painted. Heck yea right? no, about a month after it had been sprayed(and was about %90 reassembled), Dec 24th actualy, I picked up one of my headlight covers that was laying in my foyer, somone had set xmas lights on top of it. They indented into the paint. the base wasnt dry. After sending it to Sherwin Willams they told me it never would. The base foundation had been mixed wrong by the retailer. Well in the time it took me to fight with the retailer and finaly turn to SW, I had already finished putting the car together. Started driving it, about 300 miles into the new engine, I lost the heater core, but it leaked to the outside, so I didnt realize there was no coolant until the engine started bogging down from being so hot. SO, A new crank kit later, its back on the road. Wasnt long before a defective distributor cap had me in the autozone parking lot changing it. Now not only did they screw me out of replacing the cap, I somehow messed up the timing, and at 10PM just had it towed home. Got that fixed and back on the road. Sometime later lost the coil, no biggie just another little problem. Again in this 6 month period, somehow I blew a injector fuse, leaving me with 3 injectors and very curious driveability. Didnt think to check the fuse, so after hours of toying with it in a gas station parking lot, I just had it towed home again ( AAA ) Shortly thereafter I finished fighting with SW and they agreed to pay to have the car repainted, but only $1500. So I stripped off all the body pannels and sent them to a buddy of mine. I also got bitten by 2 bugs, the speed bug, and the "it can be better bug" Got an 88 base coupe automatic from Pennsilvanya, converted it to a full power 88 3.4L 5spd GT, then waited for the body to come back. I also came across a wrecked 87GT in mint shape. stripped it for all its best interior parts, and what nots.
So chapter 2 in this cars life, begging last decemberish
I got all my body pannels back, put them all back on the car, detailed it out, made sure every little screw looked stock, this went great. Got to driving it. Now admittedly, (and quite frankly I brag about it ) I drove, and drive it HARD. Ive never been suprised when something broke with the 3.4DOHC. But im careful about crashing, never so much as a close car, I just hammer it a lot. Suffice to say I started driving it in march and Ive : Replaced engine due to spun rod bearing, rebuilt first engine because 2nd engine piston exploded destroying the block, 250 miles after this rebuild, driving it real nice BTW, I lost 2 main bearings, then I sheared a roll pin in the tranny and had to replace it, then I lost the 2nd gear syncros here just recently so I put in a FWD conversion tranny, and installed a turbo, well my usual reckless abandon with the untuned turbo got me a melted piston, and so she sits now.

So Ive got 2.5 years of blood and sweat into this car, and have loved every minute of it. I could easily stop driving it so hard, and it would stop breaking, but wheres the fun in that? I enjoy fixing what I break as much as I do driving it as hard as it will go

Any suggestions for a name for this lady? She was pulled from a junkyard, reborn, then reborn again into a much more powerful being, but has been bucking and fighting the whole way. Id like to say we get allong pretty good, she never gives me trouble, and shes AWESOME in the drivers seat, neat and tidy under the hood, and likes to have her cradle dropped every now and then.

"Money Pit" is the obvious response, but way too easy.

"Poltergeist" comes to mind, too.
It was dead. It was awoken. It's pissed. It's fighting you every step of the way.

What was the cat's (or the kid's) name in Pet Sematary. That might be appropriate.

Sounds like you beat it like a "red-headed stepchild" (its even red)
Maybe Orphan since it was orphaned in a jy.

Actually, since it has been a source of constant trials and tribulations, with small amounts of tempting goodness to keep you throwing your time and money away, maybe you should call it something appropriate that will cause others to have immediate realization of and relation to what you are going through........like "Fiero"
