My '84 SE has a three spoked wheel, and oddly the material doesnt come nearly as far twards the center down the spokes as all those I've seen online. I think it looks better this way...

i know all GT's had the leather wrapped ones, and they also came came out with a 3 spoke that wasn't leather wrapped which is what Jax184 is describing
The 84 could be had with the 3 spoke leather or the 3 spoke vinyl, know as the "formula" wheel, as options. the 85SE came std with the Formula wheel and optional with the leather 3 spoke. after that only the GT could get the leather 3 spokes and aparantly the vinyl option went away compleatly. both came in brown or gray and then the Indy had the light gray all it's own. hope this helps.

Yeah my 84se had the 3 spoke the 84 coupe didn't. The 3 spoke I had was vinyl and the spokes broke loose from the wheel. I put a Grant 3 spoke in its place that was smaller. The smaller wheel made it easier to get in and out of the car.

Here's the (p)leather one in my '84. It used to be gray, but it's turning black I never really looked at it so I'm not sure if it's leather or not.

That's the vinyl one Pontiac called the "Formula" wheel for 84 and 85. slightly smaller diameter grip but they seem to hold up better than the leather.
I have a dark brown.......but I'd really like a light brown/tan one.......sorry, I can't use the black one. You should save it, in case your car doesn't have one??

Ok, here are all of the steering wheel styles that BigRed & I have in our collection.
First is the 84 base Fiero wheel, vinyl construction...
Next is one that I particularly like. It was the 84 SE steering wheel and is covered in leather. Notice that unlike the "pleather" wheel, the covering on the spokes goes nearly to the hub. I suspect that this wheel is getting hard to find in good condition. I have seen very few of them.
Next is the three spoke GT wheel that everybody knows & loves. In 84, it was only available in the Indy and was covered in white leather.
This is the reproduction GT wheel available from the Fiero Store. As you can see, there are minor differences but it is still a beautiful product.
