LOL! Yeah, my girlfriend kind of lives right on that corner. heh.. Lovely place. Riiiight. The apartment is actually great, but I could do without the neighborhood. Fortunately (I guess) I think the Fiero is retired for the season. Something about 240hp and snow that don't get along. LOL I do remove anything from the car worth stealing, and occasionally disable the ignition. Next year I'll have a more involved method for disabling the car. Besides towing it, there won't be any way to drive off in it. The wheels right now aren't worth the metal they're made out of, from 30 feet they look OK but I think I cleaned them once in all the time I've owned them. The paint is all flaked off and they're starting to corrode. If someone steals them they'd be nuts. But, her living there also means that I can't buy decent wheels and still park the car there. Although every Saturday when I leave in the morning, there's a tinted and chromed 300M with 20's parked in front of or behind me. Funny, he even put a "B" (RedSox font) on the front grille. Like anyone would actually mistake it for a Bentley. For the record, I do hate parking there. For a while I parked down at the school and walked, but that got old real quick. I keep trying to convince her she doesn't want to live in the City, but she'll never give in. She actually wanted to live on the Hill. Ugh. And she wonders why I look out the window and check the car every few minutes at night. She's had my other car (that I'm driving now) parked there for a few months, so far not even a scratch on it. The hubcaps are toast though. hah.

You kind of have the right idea. Leave it unlocked (no breakage upon entry) and install a Viper alarm system with the ignition disabler. Either that of find a garage

LOL I wish... A place with a garage in Boston would likely be in the neighborhood of $3-$4,000 a month if you could find one. Probably $2Mil-3$Mil to buy a place like that. My GF's 2 bedroom (in the wonderful city of Roxbury where it is) is $1,600 a month and that was the cheapest she could find! (Right at the corner of a lighted intersection. You should hear the Honduhs with 8" mufflers and 10,000 watt stereos sitting at the lights. I swear the building wall amplifies the sound..) Other apartments for $1,800-$1,900 were rat-infested basement rooms, with fun problems like the emergency exit stuck closed. In one of them, the only way downstairs to the bedrooms was a spiral staircase, that was in the middle of 1 of the bedrooms. So you had to go through that room to get to the other. Woo, go Boston! She loves that dang city though. I'd move to Kansas and be happy, as long as I had a job, a garage and some Fieros to play with. LOL I can't imagine living full-time in a city like Boston, having to park on the street, there's no way you can do any actual work to a car besides maybe changing the sparkplugs. (and hoping you don't get hit!) As it is, you can't leave a car parked there for a whole week because the streets have alternating "street sweeper" days, and you'll get towed if you're there. That and when it snows, there's parking bans. Where the heck are 10,000 people supposed to park if it's not on the streets where you normally do? Ugh... *rant off* lol
