LOL! Yeah, my girlfriend kind of lives right on that corner. heh.. Lovely place. Riiiight. The apartment is actually great, but I could do without the neighborhood. Fortunately (I guess) I think the Fiero is retired for the season. Something about 240hp and snow that don't get along. LOL I do remove anything from the car worth stealing, and occasionally disable the ignition. Next year I'll have a more involved method for disabling the car. Besides towing it, there won't be any way to drive off in it. The wheels right now aren't worth the metal they're made out of, from 30 feet they look OK but I think I cleaned them once in all the time I've owned them. The paint is all flaked off and they're starting to corrode. If someone steals them they'd be nuts. But, her living there also means that I can't buy decent wheels and still park the car there. Although every Saturday when I leave in the morning, there's a tinted and chromed 300M with 20's parked in front of or behind me. Funny, he even put a "B" (RedSox font) on the front grille. Like anyone would actually mistake it for a Bentley. For the record, I do hate parking there. For a while I parked down at the school and walked, but that got old real quick. I keep trying to convince her she doesn't want to live in the City, but she'll never give in. She actually wanted to live on the Hill. Ugh. And she wonders why I look out the window and check the car every few minutes at night. She's had my other car (that I'm driving now) parked there for a few months, so far not even a scratch on it. The hubcaps are toast though. hah.
