Ok the Restoration of the "Black Hole" is starting. And I figure...hey do it right, take the body off. I've never done a frame-off before. And I'm sure the frame rails will have some rust on them, the guy before me didn't care like I do. I found a few old topics, such as this one https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Archives/Archive-000001/HTML/20030531-2-032938.html But there aren't any picture, they're all gone. I was wondering about the center section, from the windshield to the back window. Is that able to come off of the frame easily? One piece? Anyone have any picture of themselves taking the body off. I can contemplate the rear end, the engine, cradle etc... and the fronttoo because there isn't much there. But the roof line, pillars, interior (which will come out of course), and the floor panels, are they all together? And is it just bolted onto the frame? Sorry if these sound like such noob questions, but hey that's me. +'s to anyone. Thanks.

The fiero is a space frame design. There is no frame, the body and frame are one. The front, middle, and rear parts are all one, unless you want to cut sections off, which isn't necessary unless there's alot of rust problems. The rear cradle can be dropped though. Hope this helps

So there can be no rust on the TOP of the middle frame, unless it's rotted all the way through, but if it were on "top" then it would be the body? Sorry if this is confusing. But Yes that did help some, about 60% haha. + to you. If I were to repair and POR-15 the "middle" of the frame do I just do 3 sides since I cant really get to the top?

Not sure if I'm following you, but the roof (windshield pillars and roof section) will come off of the frame. As already mentioned, the Fiero frame is a one piece unit. It looks like this with the body and mechanicals removed (not my pic):

edit: here's a link that will show you how to take off the roof panel. It's really an article on how to swap a sunroof to a non-sunroof car, but part of that process is removing the roof panel.

Here's a pic of a totally (except for the rear window) disassembled Fiero to give you an idea of what would be left.
