Well ,out of necessity I had to replace the 18 year old rubber bushing in the front of my 87 GT. So instead of going back to stock i decided to install poly bushings up front. I'm sure it's been said before but the ride is deffinantly worth the time it took to install. After lots of burning and lots cleaning the poly pushed right in to the control arms. With some persuading. the A-arms slid back into the crossmember . After bolting up the rest of the suspention I took it out for a shakedown run. All I can say is WOW The car turns in crisp and it has the feel of a go-kart ! I got so into the shakedown run i wound up at Delawarefiero's house with a big smile on my face and some serious brake fade (think thats the next mod ) Well If anyone was on the fence weather to install poly bushings or not, I say it's worth the $60 bucks spent. I can only imagine how well this car will turn with a full suspention upgrade.

If you liked that try installing a rear sway bar.

Mine took a day per corner plus an alignment. I don't have any air tools and replaced the ball joints at the same time.

True, but you may have had similar results going from worn out bushings to new rubber bushings. Still, there's no doubt the poly firms things up over the rubber. I've got a complete set of poly for my Formula, but I've been holding off installing them since once I go poly, there is no going back (unless I can find some OEM rubber bushings).

If you liked it in the front suspension - It's even easier to do the rears than the fronts and I'm enjoying the all-around effect now. Man, I wanna get those cradle bushings in just to see how that feels.
The rear poly helps minimize the twisting of the rear a-arms and really makes the back end feel solid.

I have the (all-around effect now) even the cradle is done. YES it's like a Go-Kart. I don't no if it's because the car is lowered but I feel that it is easy to slide out sideways on a turn. Maybe it’s the V8 and the springs and the poly. Or I just can’t drive it yet!!!

The install took saturday and about half of sunday to do. Thats with a late start (around 10:30am) and a couple trips to the hardware store to replace a few bolts that had to be surgically removed. the real pain in the a$$ part was getting filthy from the grease and dirt on the parts!
