Well unfortunately I don't have enuff money right now to powder coat frame... so heres where I'm at, car is stripped pretty much.

Was thinking of using steel wool disc to get most of the rust off and some sand paper. Question is whats cheap paint for the frame and other metal surfaces.

Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to use POR15, a brush on (or spray on if you use a compressor/gun) coating that will stop rust completely. It is available on e-Bay for about $40 a quart in gloss black, flat black and silver metallic. One quart goes very far in covering a chassis. I have used it on my engine cradle other suspension parts and my engine block - it works very well.

Google POR-15, there are a couple of vendors that sell it. I got mine within 2 days of ordering it.

You can use POR-15 on any surface that will not be exposed to uv rays. It was used it in my engine bay and on my cradel with my 4.9 install.

You might want to check this out. I got it at the local Car Quest Paints shop. It reads for all the world just like the POR-15, and the CQ owner told me it was developed by a guy who used to work with POR.

Same stuff, just about 1/3 cheaper.
