I know I carried a door out of a Pick-&-Pull yard one time, Had to carry it about 200 yards to my truck and thought I was going to die before I got it there. It was heavy!!!

I think I remember reading the fiero doors weigh some where around 85 pounds. I can imagine how difficult that would be since the door is in akward shap for carrying!
Not sure how much the impact bar weighs but the doors weigh alot but trying carrying a third or second gen camaro door around they will make fiero doors feel like a feather in comparison.

I am going to remove one and see how much it weighs.I was hoping that someone had already done so and could post the weight. I am considering using a car for track purposes only and am figuring out how much weight savings can be achieved. Dont worry it would have a roll cage

ahhh its good exersize ..Try carrying a 4 cly motor by yourself (quad 4 without head or accessories of course) through a muddy junkyard then you will appreciate the lightness of a door
If you didn't do it already... Even with a roll cage you need to check your rule book for whatever class(es) you will run. Some classes/tracks may not allow you to make a change like that even with a cage.
Removing the beam may also make the door real flimsy and hard to keep aligned and operating. There is very little holding the shape other than the big beam. There is a light beam at top but that likely won't do much because of where it is. You may have to put something back to keep the door square and that may cut into whatever weight you save.

I have done some major trimming on a couple doors. It's has been awhile, but I seem to recall that it started at 95 lbs. complete ;with glass, etc. Down to about 35 lbs with main beam still in place, but without door skin or mirror. I should be able to confirm this within the next week or so.
