ok ive finished the front brakes on my vette brake upgrade took it for a drive with the stock master cyl. still installed . stoped like crap (which i knew was going to happen) . what master cyl is everyone useing and have you done the brake booster as well ? (if so which one did you use ?)
I have the grand am's with the blazer master right now. All my parts for the vette swap are on the way, should i switch the master too? Or is the blazer on Okay? If the vette master is better i will swap that too.

This master is designed to be used on a 4 wheel corvetter disc brake assembly and has the capacity for this set up, other set up are for front disc and rear drum and can cause premature lock up because of the proportioning valve of the fiero which is for a 4 wheel disc.

If I get the 80 corvette then I won't need the porportioning valve? In your pic above I see that you don't have the lines hooked up yet. Do they need work to hook up or will they just bolt up?

If you are not using the adjustable proportioning valve then loop the mc tubes into the Fiero 's valve if you are using the variable valve then see this http://www.westcoastfiero.com/brakes/mastcyl.html

anyone know what you need to do with the lines ? do they need to be changed , extended etc?
One of the lines can be used (The smaller one), but it would have to be swapped to the locationin the dist. block where the larger one originally was. The other line you have to make yourself, as there is no way to make the old one work. Here is where the problem comes in. No one sells a section of replacement brake line with those fittings already flared on. You either have to make the line out of braided hose and the correct fittings, or flare your own metal line. We had a hard time coming up with fittings that would even work with a piece of preflared tubing and trying to use an adapter, it just wasn't happening. Long story short, we got a long piece of brake tubing, a tubing bender, and reused the stock fittings. After about 4 tries, and creasing several sections of the long tube, we finally got it right. You can rent the correct flare tool from Autozone for a few bucks.

so i can use the old fittings for all of it just use new line's ? also are both lines the same size? \
You can use all stock fitting, but you will need to make new metal. The lines are different sizes, I don't remember what size they are exactly but I just matched what the stock size was.
