I have the grand am's with the blazer master right now. All my parts for the vette swap are on the way, should i switch the master too? Or is the blazer on Okay? If the vette master is better i will swap that too.

LMK,
Jesse

This master is designed to be used on a 4 wheel corvetter disc brake assembly and has the capacity for this set up, other set up are for front disc and rear drum and can cause premature lock up because of the proportioning valve of the fiero which is for a 4 wheel disc.

So it's proportioned better. I kind of like them proportioned a little heavy in the rear

Thanks

Then you can use an adjustable proportioning valve plumbed into the existing one and that will allowb you to set the bias however you want it .

If I get the 80 corvette then I won't need the porportioning valve? In your pic above I see that you don't have the lines hooked up yet. Do they need work to hook up or will they just bolt up?

If you are not using the adjustable proportioning valve then loop the mc tubes into the Fiero 's valve if you are using the variable valve then see this http://www.westcoastfiero.com/brakes/mastcyl.html

Can you use the 84-87 rotor or does it have to be the 88?

One of the lines can be used (The smaller one), but it would have to be swapped to the locationin the dist. block where the larger one originally was. The other line you have to make yourself, as there is no way to make the old one work. Here is where the problem comes in. No one sells a section of replacement brake line with those fittings already flared on. You either have to make the line out of braided hose and the correct fittings, or flare your own metal line. We had a hard time coming up with fittings that would even work with a piece of preflared tubing and trying to use an adapter, it just wasn't happening. Long story short, we got a long piece of brake tubing, a tubing bender, and reused the stock fittings. After about 4 tries, and creasing several sections of the long tube, we finally got it right. You can rent the correct flare tool from Autozone for a few bucks.

That kind of what I fiqured would be the case. I'll just rent the tool and make new lines.

Someone please tell me if the 87 and down rotors will work. I ordered some and need to stop them before shipping if they do not work.

Thanks
Jesse

You can use all stock fitting, but you will need to make new metal. The lines are different sizes, I don't remember what size they are exactly but I just matched what the stock size was.
