First, don't bother with the "Well, it's your car- do what you want" comments, if I knew for sure or didn't care what you thought, I wouldn't have taken the time to ask for your opinions!

I can't seem to decide between these two scoops, one helps and the other just looks nice as well as has some nastalgia...

The Indy, over the roof scoop, or

The Mopar six-pack scoop....

I've got a 5 inch wing stand on it's way and one day love the over the roof style and the next the six-pack style. So, I'm going to go with the concensus of our estemed members. Seems more fun this way, getting the opinions of other Fiero owners. Also, if anybody ever says: "Why didn't you go with the xxx one?" or "If I owned a Fiero, I would have put xxx on instead." So no matter what, I can't be wrong! Thanks in advance for taking the time to post your opinion, it gives me a nice warm fuzzy feeling to think that this is a car that will be raised by a village.

i'm guess you're assuming the indy scoop would just look nice, but i had one fully functional on a 4cyl (and i believe the idea would transfer over to a carbed or center throttle body engine), and someone else (cooter? kinda forgot) had a functional one on a v6, but that takes a little more thinking.

as for which, it's possible to use both, or at least the indy scoop and some complimentary lower scoop for venting. i've thought about it, but i don't have another car that i need an idea for.

If these are the only 2 choices (I feel both are bad) then go with the Mopar. If the third option of a Mustang scoop is added, definatly go with it.

Well if you already have the Mopar.... On the other hand, if you don't; consider using another simular Mopar style but smaller one and put a fan under it to pull the heat out (I have one setup like that) and do the snokle one too to bring cool air in. En't no way you'll have a hot engine compartment with that setup if everythings is running right. Side note: you know you're not going to see much behind you when you back her up what with the 5" stands and the scoops. If you want to see what my scoop looks like on my car send me an e-mail.

Well this is a toughy I am considering something similar for my car but never thought about the lack of vision out the back window. I think in your case it wont matter which scoop you go with because with the wing stands you are putting on there your view will already be blocked. That in mind I'm gonna have to vote for the indy scoop.

Id say, cut an inch from the height of the mopar scoop and go with that. I think it sits to high. John

mopar one looks better IMO. Not a huge fan of the Indy roof scoop things. I think the mustang scoops are the best looking decklid scoops i've seen, but since thats not an option, go with MOPAR

My kid is putting an E body scoop on a hood for me. He having trouble getting the wing stands off the wing so we can either move it back or raise it a little.
I was REAL impressed with the 6 pack scoop (ala Tina.) but it's been done a few times.

Apologies, Jake_Dragon, for butchering your photo without your permission..will remove it if it offends!!
This was something I had toyed with, when Ellie had her 88 L4..trouble is, I don't think the flow achieved from it would be successful..

I thought along these lines, because of the obscuring of vision by scoops mounted above the level of the decklid..

I think the mopar scoop is too big for the deck lid. It just seems out of place because of the bulkiness. It doesn't seem to flow. The indy scoop looks ugly as phuck. It looked bad in 84 and it looks bad in 05. I don't know what your taste in scoops is but something along these lines?

i like my indy scoop, even if people think it has something to do with a spaceship. i have several of these scoops though. they fit almost perfectly over the side vents. i have two on my convertible and and two modded ones on my 87 coupe, along with three i spliced together and put on an 84 deck lid engine vent, so the vents look uniform across the rear of the car. these are also what i'd try if i were to combine an indy scoop and some vent scoops together

I understand that the lights on the Fiero OTR scoop are from an airplane wing and do look very Khool to me. Here are the pics that Mister Poopy mouth was looking to post...

The first one looks good, the rest not so much. Despite the size issue, I like something that stands out, and the MOPAR scoop doesn't seem too out of place to me. I think anytime a scoop is put on, it's going to stand out. So why not have something that has a little character? Fierofetish really brings something interesting to the table with his illustration. It reminds me of something I saw earlier...
I can't find it right now, grrrrrr.
