I posted this on the Technical Forum but I think it probably should be here too:

After a very long conversation with Allen from CHRFab last night (07-18-05). I am again reassured why I only deal with Grade A Companies like CHRFab. I can't say enough about Allen and Diane and their abilities to extend far beyond the sell and bend over backwards for the customer. Allen spoke very highly of the Holley Commander system that I bought from them and I have no doubts that is the perfect setup for my conversion. I called just to ask a simple question and ended up in an hour long conversation with someone that hardly has time to breathe in a day. It's comforting to know I have that kind of support from a Company that sells such an exclusive item and knows so much about the Northstar.

On a Side note: Allen let me in on the fact that he is expressing an interest in drivetrain and controller setups for Fiero Kit Cars and other Fiero based conversions. One of his guys is building a transmission (I forget the name of it) that they use in the sand cars. He feels this will be a perfect transaxle for the Longitudinal Fiero Swap. He says he is going to split his website up (www.chrfab.com) to include the conversions. Allen said since there is such a market for these kit cars, and the fact that we buy a lot of products from him that are Northstar based, he wanted to supply us with what we needed.

Once again, I appreciate everything that CHRFab is doing for the industry. They are really a class act and I look forward to going across the country to visit them sometime. It will be a worth while trip for sure..

Thanks Allen and Diane

I can second the vote for CHRF. Alan has a broad knowledge of the N* and is very willing to take time out of his schedule to share that knowledge. I've had several conversations with him where he experessed interest in the Isuzu/Northstar combination I'm working on as he wants to know what the Fiero community might need as far as parts for these swaps, as well as being able to pass the information on to other interested Fiero owners.

Glad to hear you'll be using the Holly/CHRF system also Totty. perhaps we can share some notes on the setup and tuning aspect of these when the time comes. both for ourselves and for others who may want to use the system.
