Well I took the old 85 gt to the track tonight , hoping to get into the high 13s or at least low to mid 14s, but not today. I seem to be getting slower. Don't know if the stock chip is hurting me that much or the transmission is going or geared too high. In 2003 my best time was 14.996@ 89.39. In 2004 my best was 15.129@ 88.22. In 2005 my best is 15.334 @88.09. I ran it 4 times tonight, got beat 3 of them. I did beat a Supra, I got beat by misubishi evolution, think he had all wheel drive with turbo, he ran 13.6. I ran him twice. The last one was a camaro, I had him at 60' but he pulled away. Since I have a stock chip, I was trying to compensate with my fuel pressure. Started with 46 first, second 48 ,third and fourth 50. I'm just bummed out. Any ideas

You have a converter? Maybe it's beginning to melt down, causing excessive backpressure. I could tell this was happening to mine cause I was getting more engine noise out of the air intake on the side of the car. Just an idea.

No cat convertor, got new 3" exhaust and muffler. I think if I had it all to do over, i'd go with a 3.8 sc and 4t65ehd. Maybe my new chip will help when i get it

Well after doing some calculating, I think i have a 2.84 gear. How much do you think this affects my times. Right now I could go threw the traps in second gear but I might hit the rev limit
