Don't worry there aren't too many. My car won a first place trophy there too in the fastback category. Fiero5's father's car took 2nd place. The whitewalls looked a bit funky but I guess they started to grow on me. They certainly make the car look different. Here are some of Fiero5's new paint job. This is another original looking car.

Here you can see the scoops he bought from Justin. I brought them to Merrimack for them.

Andy, if you see this post, you need to add you phone's area code for those who might be interested in your car.

I like it.. I really do. The interior is a little busy for me with the print dash cover and door panels, but they for sure don't detract from the over all theme of the car. The paint is really good, one that I would drive (after redoing the interior..)

The scoops (while not my flavor) would look better if they matched the same scheme as the body (instead of all black).

Over all, it's an eye catcher and head turner

The scoops arrived thanks to avengador1 that morning of the show so that is why they are black and not possibly the same as the rest of the Fiero. Thanks also goes out to Justin (EMX5636) for the scoops and Brian (vtfiero) for doing such an awesome paint job on my Fiero Thanks guys!
I still have another set of Fi-Air-O scoops coming soon thanks to Paced84 for Jordans Fiero. Not sure how those will look on his Fast & Furious style Fiero but he really wants them and after all it is his Fiero.
Anyway, I am still undecided on if I want the Fi-Air-O scoops on my Bengal Tiger Fiero to stay black or be painted the same theme as the rest of the Fiero, but since I just got the scoops and installed them only yesterday I still need a bit of time to decide.
I will be doing a build up thread of this '88 now that it has finally seen it's first show. You will see what Brian (vtfiero) who painted it went thru to get it to look this great. Also, the black tiger stripes are actually paint and not decals if you can't tell in the pics.
Here is another pic of it on display:

Saturday afternoon my Dad dug out a very old air brush set that he had and set it up and we went to a hobby shop and picked up some special paint. I then airbrushed the Tiger picture on the inside of my hood:

A few more pics:

The tiger material dash pad is removable. I noticed a lot of reflection in the windshield and so I may change and do something different, maybe just all black though right now I am thinking that a combo tan/black dash would look better instead:

Here is Tigger hanging out watching the people walk by and giving the kids a grin or two:

A few long shots of the Fieros in the rain:

These cool tiger seat covers were in a GTO. His son had gotten them for him awhile back and so he didn't know where they came from. Anyone ever see these for sale and if so where?:

I did some calculations of my trips this weekend, here are the statistics. I went through six states: CT, NY, NJ, PA, MA, and NH. I averaged about 26 MPGs, 13-1/2 hours of driving, and 64 MPHs. My fastest speed was 121 MPH and I travelled over 865 miles in two days. I spent most of my trip money on gas, about $75. Next was tolls about $7 then food about $5. I didn't even have time to hear who all the winners were at the Carlisle show, I just had time enough to get my trophy and hit the road. Was it worth it? Yes, I always enjoy seeing old friends and aquaintances and making new ones.
Here is a picture of my trophy from the show.

And from my navigation system.

you know i like tigger and all but...this particularly is not my taste the outside paint scheme while vibrant looks to very well done , meanwhile the interior personally i think is over the top . again though this is another example of peoples personal tastes .i am not flaming i am being objective so if this is taken the wrong way there is nothing i can do about that
have a good day

Steve keep the scopes black. If you paint them the same as the car it will be WAY over the top.The way it is now breaks up the all orange.

Do you like the Cincinnati Bengals? There used to be quit a few cars painted like that when the Bengals went to the superbowl in 1981 and 1988. But yours look much nicer!

I am well aware of him and his Tigiero Fiero, though it was a red Fiero with large black stripes.
He still has a web site too:
http://erichmoraga.com/Fiero/
Even though he mentions in big letters the Tigiero on the site he only seems to have a few pictures of it:

The only other pic I could find on there shows a close up pic of a crack on the passenger fender.
I think I might have a few more pics of his Tigiero on my home machine that I will have to see if they are different than these to post later (unless someone beats me to it) for those newer members who do not know about or heard of the infamous Tigiero!!

Yes I do. Though I am a huge Patriots fan I have been following the Bengals since around 1979. I fondly remember Boomer Esiason and Icky Woods and the Bengals of the 80's and would certainly like to see them make it to the Superbowl again Maybe against the 49ers where THIS time they are the ones that get the last score right before the end of game buzzer sounds
As for Bengal cars I have never really seen any other than the famous Tiger GTO and the Clemson Tiger NASCAR. The Clemson Tiger Car was my inspiration for how I wanted my Fiero to look like (thanks again to my daughter Tarrah for finding that pic on the web) and as you can see vtfiero did an awesome job of following that look though still keeping it original and not an exact copy of anyone specific car.

The other day I was at a grocery store with the Tiger Fiero and some guy yells over that my car was stupid. I was like so I said back "Why do you say that?" thinking that he is a big Pats fan or other football team fan or something and he is now going to trash talk the Bengals. He yells back, "Tigers a wussies, Lions are the real King of the jungle".
So, now I'm thinking..Oookay
We both smiled and then went our seperate ways.
I was thinking that having a few different animal print paint jobs might be cool on a few Fieros. The white Bengal Tiger Fiero, the Leopard Fiero and maybe even the Zebra Fiero
Maybe even have a few Dinosaur Fieros with added spikes and horns glassed onto the body with air brushed dinosaur skin tones and scales and stuff

Anyway, I have heard worse comments about Fieros so that one was nothin'... LOL

For the really nasty (and usually incorrect and totally unknowledgeable) comments, maybe I should have this as a little picture somewhere on some of our Fieros:

OK now.. lets see... A lime green "FNF" car, an orange "tigger" Fiero..

whats next?, Zebra?, Cow?, Dragon?, Red Baron?, Camel?

The Zebra I have seen on an 87 Iroc before, I thought before he got it done the thing would look stupid.., But I will say that in pictures it DID look stupid !, But LIVE it was a real eye-catcher..

The colors and shapes you guys come up with is wild..

This is one of our "themes" for a Chevy Van.., Got so much attention from people you could NOT drive the thing every day.. It just got really old and fast.., However what a CHICK MAGNET ! and since I'm in NH also maybe you seen it around a few years back?, It now resides down south with an extreme Scooby Doo collector, He even has the great-dane with the diamond SD collar around his neck..

Yeah.. Its official.. I can DIE now..

Rob

Outstanding job on the Tiger Fiero! I like the interior, the license plate, all the detail stuff. Great Job, maybe some day I'll get to see it in person. That's the kind of car that begs to be sat in!

I want your nav software.

is exactly what I have been looking for. We have a laptop with the latest MS Streets and Trips and a GPS attached to it. It will give current speed and all that. But no average speed, top speed or duration of trip in real time.

Is that a stand alone unit or can the sofware be used on a PC.

It is a self contained portable unit. It has a battery life of about 4 hours IIRC, but the suction base has a plug for a 12V outlet to power it. It is made by Garmin. http://www.garmin.com/products/sp330/ sorry for the late reply. I was looking for something else and came across this old thread.
