Anyone know of a drag strip within a reasonable driving distance of Traverse City, MI? I want to know what the car will run in the 1/4 mile, with proof. I'm sure it's somewhere between 17 and 20, but I want to have a baseline to compare to when I eventually modify the engine, as it's stock now, except for the K&N air filter.

I'm surprised you haven't gotten a better response from the MI people. I tried to help you out and google a track near you but the nearest 1/4 miles drag strip I could find was MIlan. http://www.milandragway.com/home.html

According to Mapquest it's about 250 miles. I don't know if you consider that reasonable driving distance or not. I hope that helps.
