that is just too cool. Love to coasters to. Your coffee table has been OVERHAULED! haha Guess the next thing would be a couple of Iron Dukes for end tables?

Successful collaberation of idea(s)! I suggest putting a faux pas (spelling?) dispensing bottle of nitrous near-by containing vodka, or anbother flammable liquid. Or how about a rotary engine with a SQUARE table? I could go on, but I have another engagement.
Sincerely,

Don't let the shiny rods blind ya. These things way past their prime. A guy into building Hemi's had them laying in the scrap pile. Greg just happened to call at the right time. The costly part was getting them polished.
So what do you guys think, ... think sticking a couple of lifters in it would be overkill?

Wonder if Tina's downstairs neighbor (if she lives in an apartment) gets nervous? Hey Tina, when's the kit gonna go on sale?

Do you have to lift the glass to get the wine bottles out? From the pics it looks like there's barely any clearance if any... Good call on the furniture Tina, I'm a big fan, I'll have to do that with my 2.8 when / if I replace it (when / if Ii get an apartment with a friend as I had so planned for the next few years).

It's there. See.
As well as the timing chain, but for some reason we are having a heck of a time getting her to turn. Must of bolted something together the wrong way.
I like the idea of the nitrous bottle though, one of those little cheater bottles motor cycle guys use would be perfect. I can see it now ...
T N T Racing parts. Jon speaking. Jon, Tina here. He Jon, I need one of those small Nos bottles. T N T> Chrome right? Want us to fill 'er up for you? Me > Sure. What Scotch you got there? T N T > HUh? You wanna run that by me one more time. You need what? You don't want nitrous in it? You want alcohol ... as in Scotch IN IT ? T N T > Hang on. ( yelling to the guys in the back) Guys ... you gotta hear this ...

Jncomutt ... thanks I have seen this picture before. Actually showed it to a few of my buddies. One almost had a heart attack. Swore that the block in the picture was some special hard to find Pontiac block. Anymore info on it?
Ive been making "UNIQUE" furniture for a while. Airplanes, cars whatever I can get. Heres what you need to hang on your wall. It would look great with your home decore (spl?) and very simple and quick to make. Its been in my shop for awhile.

Four bolt main, but that block is about as toast as toast gets.
Ex boyfriend built that one a few years ago. No, no sentimantal value there. More like revenge is best served cold.
Now there is a 1st. I am quoting myself, but the situation I guess, needs some clearing up. Seems some peeps didn't quite get what I typed a while back, misunderstood, assumption were made ....
To clarify ... When I typed it had no sentimental value, ...I meant the "Block" not the "Ex", and as to me getting some revenge ... What I intended to and got revenge on, was a block I poured a ton of money in, only for it to blow on me. For "it" to be reduced to a coffeetable/ boat anchor seemed a fitting ending considering the disapointment it caused me by not performing like it was supposed to.
There ... Tina
BTW The glass top doesn't need to be moved to get the bottles out, checked into the nitrous bottles just for kicks ... Had no idea these little things were that expensive. $ 120 for one. Great idea though, Kevin. I liked it a lot. And no, no kit available. If somebody does has some questions left or needs help with the project, on how exactly to get there own, give me a shout. Well exept about the part about concincing their other half to have one of these in their livingroom in their first place, you are on your own there. Thanks again for all the compliments, glad you all liked it.

I was thinking a lamp made out of a crankshaft would be pretty cool, the tricky part would be running the cord up through it to hide it, you could even use the flywheel as the base

The trickier part would be finding a table that could support it!

Ditto on that. Nor would I want to take a chance on somebody knocking it over. With my luck, chances are it would fall on my foot or other valued body part, but I don't see why you could not weld two or three together to make a floor lamp. Get a round metal base for added stability, a lamp kit from Menards and some of the elecrical cord that is covered with clear plastic. Just run that down the back side of the lamp, it should not be terrible noticeable.
