The only way it would fit is longitudinally and you'd likely have to stretch the chassis to make it fit. I don't know the measurements on it, but it looks to be quite a bit longer than a typical V8.

There's one for sale here. 14,000 CDN. It has rolled a gazillion times and I think the cigarette lighter may not be damaged. The driver is soon to be up and on crutches.

Just use a new Z06 motor I'd put it longitude if you planned on dragging it though cause we all know GM sucks at making real tranny's for FWD applications.

At the Mopar Nats here last summer there were quite a few Viper engines setting in classic ones. I saw a Challenger and a SuperBird and a '56 Dodge Royal convert.
If you want to put a big engine in your Fiero, theres a guy who sells complete turnkey tube chassis with vette brakes and suspension completely ready to set your body panels on. Set up for longitudinal V8 with an Audi 5000 trans. Kits run $6,000 to a completely done one less engine, trans and body for $19,000. Its primarily for guys doing kits like Lambos that are designed to go on a Fiero chassis. He custom makes them for your wheelbase. No reason you couldnt just put a set of Fiero body panels on it. It uses the same body attachment points that you would use to put the kit body on your own Fiero chassis.

I bet if you hooked that thing to the big Caddy trans you could get 'er in there. Don't know why you'd want to, but i bet it'd fit. I put a 455 Pontiac in the back seat of a Vega once. That was hilarious.

I have seen a Viper V10 in a PT Cruiser. They called it a PT Bruiser. This was in a Magazine of course.
Viper V10 in a Fiero is just silly. Fun to dream though I guess.
was this a PT that looked like a small pickup? a couple years ago at the Minneapolis car show 9new cars) they had one there that was AWD, V10, and looked like a small pickup (but was a PT) i have a pic of it somewhere, if i find it, i'll scan it and post it. it wasnt getting any attention, since it only was roped off and not on a turn table. when i looked at it, it wasnt till i looked closer and saw the viper within. and the little plack talked about the vehicle. it was pretty cool!
