No problem your not being a jerk or w/e your giving your opinion. Honest critquing . It's hard to explain it's color, on the can it's called "chrome" but it's just like a......bright silver, not all "bling bling" chrome looking. It's something you'd have to see in person if ya know what I mean.
Also anymore info on this Lotus Elise, it's so freaking sweet. Now that I know the name of it I will go search for more pics & info that I can find. 1975lbs!!!!!! That's insane. Just outta curiousity, how "long" is the Lotus Elise & how "long" is a Fiero?? Cuz from a sideview, it looked shorter then a Fiero. Also the roof looked possibly removable? Or was I just looking at it weird?? Thx.
EDIT For FieroMaster88: Umm you must have just posted as I did, so read what I just posted so yeah....it's not a "real chrome" just a bright silver. Also I dont' like Geo Metro's, and 2nd of all, it's my Fiero I like it, others who have seen it like it too so yeah don't imply i'm ruining a Fiero please.

Not to steal your thread but yes the elise is a sweet car. Have you seen the interior - the bare aluminum frame is showing in some places and it looks good. I am still trying to figure out why they went with the toyota motor instead of the ecotec. Sure the toyota puts out more than the NA ecotec but the supercharged or the turbo ecotec from the saab puts out more than the toyota.

jsmorter1 I haven't seen the interior yet, I was just in awe at staring at the car before the guy drove off. I found pictures of it on the net so yeah.
Also FieroMaster88, People don't just hate Fieros just cause I spray painted my car, which for the billionith time it looks WAYYY Better in person then in the photos. Also have you never had any type of fun?? I thought it would be funny to jokingly spray my hand too. No offense, but are you always like this?? I really haven't done anything wrong, except paint my car a color you dislike & you label me as the reason why ppl hate Fieros and to respond to your comment about not knowing what to say, could you just politely just do that, not say anything. I'd really appreciate it.
So does anyone know where & how much the are Lotus Elise 4 tail lights?
lol I could have told you that the "Chrome" wouldn't come out chrome.. You need to use a special more expensive primer, and then clear coat it right away.. It still would only last about 2 weeks before fading.. so think of it this way.. You didn't spend as much on primer... and in 2 weeks it would have turned out the same.. lol better?

Yeah I guess lol, I have a extra full can to do "touch ups" of fading when that happens lol.

Lol, just in case you get an urge to spray the rest of you, ya might want to check out what happened to Buddy Ebsen (the original Tin Man) during the filming of the Wizard of Oz. As for the car, to each his own. The pic of your hand made me want to say something like, "Live long and prosper," lol.
Hey Josh!! Just have fun!! You are only young once, and we all did crazy things like you at that age!! I spraypainted a Sunbeam Alpine series V with touch-up cans...cost me a fortune!! Looked great for a couple of weeks, and then it rained!!! Ah well...I learned a lot from my crazy ideas!! As long as it doesn't hurt you or anybody else, just do it!!! There will be plenty of time later on in life, to get all serious and " adult"!!!!!! fierofetish

it doesn't look as bad as i thought it would when i read "spray can"! i think you did an awesome job considering what you used to get it done...and like you said, why bother getting a perfect paintjob now if you have body work lined up for it? there's always gonne be people who dislike what you do, but they're not the ones driving your car, so do what you want..... James
Chrome! haha thats sick looks like you need a wetsand , and then another *light* coating would look much better then
I helped a friend spraybomb his car gloss black... it turned out pretty well took a few days, he supplied the beer... i sat back an told him what he was doin wrong haha
Thanks for the kind words & support guys!!! It's not so "shiny" and just looks like a really cool bright silver right now which is what I want it to be. I think i'm going to do one more coat this week on some of the major spots when I put the spoiler on for good.
Also I don't plan on spray painting my whole body(or my hand or something else unless on accident lol) I just thought it would be funny to spray my hand lol.
Whats up FieroFetish!! Yeah I am doing all sorts of crazy idea things now and learning from my mistakes so yeah. it's a fun trail & error time on the fiero lol.
LITEDAZE, wow someone who sees my view on spray painting it lol(well I know there is other here on the forum but haven't posted yet on there opinion on spray painting it....I hope lol) It truly does look a lot better in person. But like you said, It matters if I like it or not, and I do. Plus with spray paint, I can test color schemes quiet easily, and down the road after i'm done with the major body mods I plan I will get a real paint job. Till that day, rattling I will do lol.

I'm not sure about that, but I know on Myth Busters or something I saw on TV said it was a myth that you would "sufficate" like how on that James Bond movie said she would die of suffication of her "skin" which isn't true cuz it doesn't breathe or w/e blah blah blah lol.
I'll warn anyone, don't do it what I did. Like I said before, i'm not doing that again unless on accident which even then wouldn't be to that extent. It took me forever to scrub(my g/f helped too with a scrub pad) and it hurt like a $@^! basically scraping it off cuz that was the only way it would come off lol.

I get paint on my hands everyday, I just clean it off with a rag and thinner. Then I rub in some hand lotion. No my hands havent disolved in 40 years even a little.
Yeah I wish I woulda had thinner on hand(pun intended lol) but just had to go the old fashion way of soap + water + extremely strong brush pad = PAIN lol. Not really, but my hand was nice & read for an hour after getting the crap off.
So besides tying up those loose ends that Paul & I discussed what do you guys think the first "upgrade" should be??
I'm thinking may suspension, maybe lowering it an inch or two(or maybe lower to the right height I like) and other suspension options. I was saving up $$$ to actually buy another Fiero after losing hope, and thankfully after a last resort option choose Paul to help me so now that $$$ is going to devote getting the Fiero all nice & stuff. I will defintely leave some $ on the side just incase something freak goes wrong and im not out for a month or two without driving again. Thanks again guys.

Well, it wasn't Buddy Ebsen that played the part of the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, but I instantly got the idea of where you were going with the comparison. The actor was a guy named Jack Haley and he contracted a permanant case of blood poisoning from the Mercury that was added to the make up to give him the Metallic look.

Actually, Buddy Ebsen WAS the original actor playing the Tin Man; he suffered a violent allergic reaction to the silver paint, and had to back out of the production while he recuperated, which is why Mr. Haley got the part. Look it up. Now back to our regularly scheduled program...
oh my... I've got your back fieromaster lol, this will haunt my dreams for many nights to come.
on a positive note ---- The elise is an awesome car
Yes it is, I was in so much awe when I saw that thing in person. And I need to do some update pictures of my fiero, cuz those pictures where taken literally right after I got done. So thats why it looks all shiny and horrible as you guys are making it out to be lol . It looks better now that its "settled"
