I've been hacked. Can anyone lead me in the right direction of what I need to get it back up?

I was borrowing the space from a member/friend here (neghcho), and haven't seen him around lately. He has all the files on the ftp, and I am just now getting back into building the site. I'm just hoping it won't be a redesign for all of them.

From what I understand from other searches, it is a matter of updating the phpBB version. I'm not sure if all the data is lost, or whatnot.
