I would love too know if I can use this in my fiero and if it will work with my Camaro 3.4 engine -95.
If it works, from what year? anybody that done a thread about how too get this connected too the Fiero.

Thanks SHARKMAN

Sharkman,

The Camaro or Firebird cluster from 93 to 98 can me used but you'll need to use the Camaro or Firebird dash (or a custom dash surround) to make it look right. IT is not a plug-n-play conversion and requires some wiring and soldering skills. jscott1 is working on a conversion harness but it's not in to production as yet. Take a look at the link in my signiture to get an idea of the scope of the project.

Good Luck,

Here is the thread with a pretty good cross reference of everything there is to know about the firebird dash:

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/047561.html

If someone with Fiberglass skills were to build a pod like the 90 prototype it would fit in the Fiero perfectly. As the pictures below point out this cluster appears to have been designed for the Fiero and later used in the Firebird, and not the other way around.

Just to liven up this thread though is my conversion chart of Firebird to Fiero. My data shows that 93 to 98 are pretty similar, with only minor differences depending on what options you had, (6 speed, auto, TCS, etc). After 99 all bets are off, GM added more and more gauges controled by modules and completely digital. I would look for an older model with mechanical odometer. Those are pretty much guaranteed to work.

I am hopeing that the 2000 dash and gauges will work in my S*. The gauges are run by a serial data link. Just one wire runs most of the gauges and lights

That's the problem, you need to have all the hardware to run the gauges, (body control module, transmission module, brake module, etc) Without the modules to feed the serial data link I can't imagine how the gauges will work. Unless you build your own analog to serial data converter. Your job will be a lot easier if you go with the analog gauges.
