It may be 1/43 scale, but it still has plenty of detail. I received my M.A. Scale Models #246 Fiero GT Fastback resin model yesterday. I plan to paint it the same colors as my car, once I get some supplies to do so. I also hope to be able to find another 1/43 scale model with similar wheels to what my car has, so I can complete the look. Anyway here are the pictures.

The dash, shifter, side mirrors, rear spoiler, exhaust tips, and wheels are in the baggie. Along with other hardware. The wheels have lace pattern inserts. Im looking into other 1/43 scale models to try and find a similar 5 spoke wheel, to match the wheels I have on my car. I'll post more pictures later if there is any interest. The models is about 4 inches long by the way.
It looked a bit rough, but for the scale thats a lot of detail. I,m interested in more photos. I,m working on converting a Yat Ming 85 GT into a fastback. I want it stock to begin with. Working out the castings for the lace wheels inserts and engine grills. I,ve figured out the alterations to the rear clip and engine compartment lid. Quarter window can be done with printable acetate and clear coat. tail lights with casting acrylic. We'll see?

The resin castings have a little bit of flash that should easily be removed with an exacto. I will add some more detailed pictures later today. I thought about modifying a Yat-Ming also, but this was an easier solution. The IMSA Fiero was pretty sweet looking too. I spoke to Mike, who runs MA scale models, and he suggested the wheels for the #66 BRM Can Am to match the ones I have on my car. I think they are a close enough match so I ordered those too.

Here are some more pictures of the kit and it's contents. The parts bag has: exhaust tips, steering wheel, shifter, wiper blade arms, dash. door mirrors, wheels, Goodyear tires, center caps. The sticker bag has gold wheel centers, tail lights, etc.

OK ,So the parts are metal? The body surface looks better than the reference photo. Looks like it has cast wheel inserts as well as printed. Is that the case?

Yes, it has both cast and photo-etched wheel inserts. The pictures of the completed model look like it was painted with a brush, not spray paint. The body has some pretty amazing details. I started to clean off some of the flash as you can see below.

Hm.. That's really interesting.. Is the body sturdier that it looks? I'm not real familiar with resin, but it looks like if you pushed down on it a little it would collapse or something.

The body is pretty sturdy and can resist handling. The rectangle sticker would be for the sunroof opening, it would probably work better if one paints the car a light color. I have to find the right paints before I start any assembly. I don't have too many local hobby shops around so it may take me a while.

I have looked at these before but just cant see spending that much money on them. Will this stuff melt? I wander if you could make a sand mold and cast a new shell out of aluminum. Now that would be worth the money. Its nice to see the build up of one, if it turns out nice I may change my mind but for not the vote is still out. Thanks for sharing.
Looks cool, but when you take pics like that, PLEASE toss something else in there, like a pencil, a quarter, or a dollar bill, so we can see the scale...
(I know ya said it was 1/43, not tryin' to bust yer chops...)

I'll throw a ruler for scale next picture I submit. It won't be for a while as Im looking for the right paint. Testors has this spray paint that takes a while to dry, but the finish is worth it. I don't think regular paint will have any bad effect on the resin body as it is cured already. The resin body is made from a two part resin/catalyzer, sort of epoxy like material.
