In case anyone was worried, our cars are still "cool" to some people other than their owners.

My wife & I were on our way home from work yesterday (in her Fiero), and we ended up pulling over on the highway at one point to restrain a couple of young dogs which were trying to turn themselves in to road pizza.

We grabbed the dogs, and made half a dozen phone calls before getting a hold of the local animal control service. The animal control van shows up, and the officer has (presumably) her son with her. 10-12 years old I'm guessing.

We helped her get the dogs in to the van, and as we're heading back to the car to defrost the kid shouts out "What kind of a car is that? It's really cool!"

'nuff said.

I went over a friend's house to work on their computer. While I was there her mom came in and asked me to check something on their other computer. A little while later her dad and brother came into the room. Her dad said, "Well, are you going to ask him?" I thought I was gonna be asked to do more work, but her brother then asked "Is that a GT model because those ones were sweet?" It's always fun to find people who like my car, especially ones who know about the car and like it.

I remember when I bought my car in april.
When the flatbed truck showed up with my 85 notchback, my kids went nuts. "WOW!!!!! You bought a racecar!!!".My boys are 2 ,3 and 4. My daughter is 10.

I remember a few years ago cruising along the beachfront in my red t-topped 86 GT and a little kid in a pram literally leaned out the side of the pram and strained to look backwards to followed the car up the road. I thought that was kinda funny.
