Yeah, I have dozens (128, to be exact), but with pokeyfiero's engine grenade incident, I'd been home a total of 45 minutes in the last 4 days. I'll get on that ASAP.

John, I have set up a directory where Whuffo is going to upload a bunch of his pictures. He has about 110megs worth of pictures. After I get his sorted and moved out of that directory, if you want to upload a bunch it would be great. I was so busy doing other stuff this year that I didn't take any pictures. I'll build the website from pictures that I get from other people...

I'll post some of mine here. I really need to make you a CDR of all my pictures. If I have more than can fit on a CDR, I'll burn you a DVD-R.

lets just say that car will remember that road for a very long time.
He's finally home. I just came in and saw it parked in his driveway. (He lives around the corner from me.) Still looking exactly like it does in the picture. I'm afraid to go over and check it out. I know his dad is not at all happy since he just flipped a car just like this one less than a year ago.

Hey, Dale, I don't know if you have any interest in doing a day at the track, learning from instructors, but maybe we can get this kid to come out with us and he can learn how to handle his car better?

That would bve a great idea.Lets do it.
I have always wanted to get some proffesional training. Heck I think it should be a requirment for some of us maybe all of us on trips like the ralley through the valley. I could see some major mishaps on that trip.Thats probably why we love it so much.

Yeah! I'd love to be there to see Andrew's engine explode in person.
Sorry man, couldn't help myself.

Pricey, but definately worth it. I went to the class as my one and only Christmas present a few years ago. Worth every penny. I wouldn't have been out front playing with West and Tennesse if I hadn't taken that class. Like I told several people, its the only class I've really paid attention in, and for good reason.
On another note, I'll try to get a couple pics up of my own, but it won't be until at least thursday,

We were travelling in a pack of 3. Mike Cuffney, a retired CHP officer was leading with me following and "Crash" taking the follow. We got to a straightaway that hugged a seacliff for about a quarter mile, then turned 90 degrees slightly uphill. We had been going at a healthy pace, about 60 in the short straights and 20-40 in the curves. We probably could have gone a little faster safely, but I figured a retired CHP officer has forgotten more about safe driving then I'll ever know, so I kept his pace. Well, as soon as we got to the straightaway, "Crash" decided to pass ACROSS A DOUBLE YELLOW LINE!!! I estimate that he probably got up to about 90 mph when he cut back into his lane just a couple carlenghtsbefore the turn, and not even a carlentgh in front of Mike. My wife said "Just look at that crazy fool trying to get himself killed." and no sooner had she sadi "killed" both passenger side tires left the pavement. The car went into a clockwise spin (towards the ocean side- about a 500 ft drop onto rocks and surf) then after it was about 90 degrees into the spin, he "corrected" the spin to counter clockwise. Even with the scrubbing off of speed from the spin, I'd estimate the speed at no slower then 50 mph when the back end whipped around and impacted the cliffwith the right rear corner. The impact was so hard, the front end of the car lifted a good five feet in the air. The front of the car carried over about 90 degrees to point the right direction. Miraculously, neither person in the car was hurt.
The car is f*cked.

Oh man, am I glad I finally opened Page 2. Looks great. Next year won't be my year for traveling, but sign me up for 2006. That is also the year I'll try to make it to some of the other Fiero events I've never been to before.

Scott mentioned Skip Barber, and I'm sure it's great, but a day at Thunder Hill or Sears Point is under $200, and it's worth every penny if you like to drive fast.
We tried to do a "Fiero only" event, and it was too expensive. We can organize a date on an Open Track Day, show up with a bunch of us, and go. I can help organize this. Maybe we'll start a thread about a track day.

Thanks Stimpy. Do you think you will come down to Bakersfield if Songman does another get together?
I would hope to. It really all depends on the timing. I am serious about coming out to Hanford to have you and Allen shake down my car all properly like. I'm looking forward to getting that pulley done! Hopefully my car will be nice and shiny from my raffle prize.
Oh yeah, that's another thing. Dale arranged donations of THOUSANDS of dollars of prizes from sponsors. I won a model of an 85 GT and a Dewalt 3000 rpm buffer/sander worth about $200! It's definately worth the trip to make this run! Dale is a class act, and a great host.

Nows that's a beautiful car. It's also pretty much exactly what I have planned for my 87 GT same color same side scoops everything. Now if I can only get the thing to stay running.

Hey Ed! Welcome to the forum! What a great way to start out! Most people find the forum and then start coming to events! You join us with lots of great pictures from your first event! We look forward to seeing you at more of our gatherings.
Hey did any of you end up with a blue parka in your car? I lost my down there somewhere. It has a big kangaroo pocket in the front.
