Here's one towards the extreme northern end, like 2 1/2 hours north of Sacramento!!! I hail from the head of the Great Central Valley in the beautiful town of Redding, otherwise known as the "Oven" of the north state.
But "I'm 'Not Old Enough' to have grandchildren!
I'm on the bottom end of the Central Valley in Bakersfield... I was just up through Redding this past weekend. Saw a pretty big car show going on at some car lot just off of the 5 but we didn't have time to stop... Shasta was looking good with all the fresh snow on it... We saw quite a few Fieros up that way. I saw at least 2 Fieros that looked like 87 coupes for sale in Yreka. They were at lots that were right beside the interstate. Also saw a gold 86SE going North on the 5.
As has already been mentioned, you don't need to bring a Fiero on the Coast Run. If you have a Fiero, you should be there. It's the best recent chance to meet up with lots of other owners, see some great cars (not to mention the beautiful California Coast), AND take home some great Fiero prizes from our raffle. Hope to meet some of you in the near future.
New to this forum but glad to see there are so many people from Calif here.
I live in Temecula which is just north of San Diego county.
I have had an 87 GT fastback for about 8 or 9 yrs. Haven't really had it running for the last 5 or so (family takes alot of time).
Would love to hear about any of your stories about engine swaps or major mods like turbos and any probs you may have had getting it to pass smog inspections. I want to turbo the orig engine once it's rebuilt.
Please feel free to email me anytime with any stories ya have.
Cya all around the forums and maybe he meets.
