I went to Pontiac in 2003 and Topeka this year. I want to plan for next year and I don't mind driving a few days to get there. The drive, in the car I love, is part of the fun. So all you folks out there in parts unknown land please persuade me to come to your event .

The Michigan Fiero Club is returning to Frankenmouth (sp?) next year. The Capital City Fiero Chapter is heading it up. I tried to find the web site for it but I couldn't find it. It is scheduled for July 29-31, 2005.

The Daytona Show is a "MUST DO" event on the 3rd weekend of March every year, especially if you live on the East coast. I'm sure there will be enough of Daytona left for the Show to go on. It's early enough in the year to get away for a weekend for a warmer climate after the winter months, even if you live in Georgia

Hey Songman...........just tell em we will have the big to do in Delano, CA. enough said....he he he he. Be there or you'll be left out.
I did find a complete 3800SC in a yard in Delano though! haha. My gardener is from there and his family owns the yard so he lets me in on all the good stuff! Even a wide spot in the road town has good stuff every now and then. haha

ARIZONA, interesting for sure. Lets talk about this one more. Need race track, drag strip and a good hotel and parking lot.
Keep them coming. Looked at CFOGI web page but could find nothing for 2005 scheduled
So you will be at the Coast Run in a couple of months? Right?

Last year, Chris West and I were talking about doing something in Colorado and wondering how many people would actually make the drive. I used to live in Colorado Springs and I am a big Breckenridge skier so I love Colorado!

Yeah, Chris and I discussed that as well. I don't think you'd get many people from the west coast, and the show in Topeka was only 100 cars (I'm sure they were expecting more). Colorado is beautiful, but I don't think you'd draw many cars.

Used to hang out in Delano way back when, when I use to pick strawberries for my uncle in Santa Maria and my cousins and I would drive to Delano for the weekend.
Oh yeah.......looking forward to the coast run in November. Had breakfast with Chris West this morning at Paradise Cove and he mentioned that last years Coast run someone had a birthday. Hey, maybe we can celebrate that birthday again this year in San Simeon.

Ahh, we'll fix that. Last year we lingered around the hotel for way too long, and wound up leaving too late in the afternoon. This year I am planning on an earlier departure, lunch at a location TBD at the southern end of the route, and a northern loop will be added. Plus, did y'all do the Carmel Valley Road leg of the trip?

I know many areas were discussed, and we are still researching sites. But as for now, I think the general idea is to keep it centrally located in an attempt to not make it impossible for someone from either coast to make the show. It's hard to try and make a show for everyone and still make it accessible to anyone that wants to come. As Jen said, I believe St. Louis is being looked at closely right now and more will be posted as plans are finalized. Look for the month of July though if that helps.
Hope you all can make it next year and I'll let you know when things are decided!!

Yeah, we read about the breakfast thing but already had plans. Maybe another time...
Seems like I did hear about someone having a birthday on the actual day of the Coast Run last year!
Well , there is always the "Run For The Hills 10" Next year !!!! Songman can vouch for that !! You've got plenty of time to plan for it , since it was just this past weekend. Go ahead and mark your calendar, especially since you want to drive a little ways to get here. Would be one of the "Most Fun" weekends you'll find.

Absolutely Ronnie! The RFTHs is still one of the best events I have ever been to. With a little different planning we would have made it this year... As I was looking at the pictures I could clearly see in my mind two years ago in the rain at the very same locations.. And it was still a blast! Maybe by next year we'll have the 355 ready for a cross country trip... Of course, I'll be pushing for Rie to take a day or two off in April to come down to Ed's Swap Meet too. I hear it may be the last one! haha
So, I guess my list of the Big 3 is pretty clear. In no particular order.
1 California Coast Run 2. Run For The Hills 3. Ed Parks' Swap Meet
To me the Big event doesn't have anything to do with the number of cars. It is all about how much fun you have and how many friends you get to see, meet, and hang out with.

You still haven't been to Dells Run in Wisconsin then? It's definitely one of the biggest if you're looking at in terms of friends & fun

What? Westfest didn't make the list? *sniff sniff*
Not to worry! It's #4! The swap meet and the Run For The Hills are things that were a regular every year occurence for me for a long time... And the Coast Run is mine so I have to like it...
Maybe I should have done a Top 5 list! haha

I can't believe that the whole country didn't want to come to Texas...what's up with that?
I can only make it to one big national show per year and it would be great if that show was in Texas. I'd like to make it back to Daytona next year, but I don't know if I can attend Daytona and a National show at the same time.
After I get the Chop top completed maybe I'll take a poll to see which show I should go to

That run is great. Carmel valley leg is murder on the tires though.Hoping for some road repair.I guess I could drive alittle easier.
Hopefully, they can finalize soon... I have to put in for vacation around Jan. 15th, so I need to know by then... It's still possible to change it, but at my age, several people have way more seniority than I do at work, and they get first shot. I can't bump them off a weekend, unless I've picked it during the vacation pick in January.
KEEP US POSTED!!!
