No, the tach is accurate and reads the same as the original. No adjustments needed.

when the new rims come in, take a picture of them on the car with the 40 series tires, i want to see the foot or so of wheel gap

the car looks exceptional, i parted 3-4 87-88 coupes, and i feel bad everytime i do, but i see it as keeping other fiero's alive when i part out one, that and all the ones i part have been damaged in some way or another.

some 215/55/15's or 225/55/15's would look very nice on those rims on her car.

At Tarrah's high school today they had some kind of a spring fling with a small car show. She talked her grandfather into taking Jordans there to show off and I drove hers today so I could swing by her school during my lunch hour with her car so she could show hers off as well. The high school where Tarrah goes to is only about 5 minutes or so down the road from the high school where I work so that makes it nice.
Here are some pics from about an hour ago at her high school with both hers and her younger brothers Fieros there:

As you can see they were a big hit:

A nice shot of Tarrahs 87 coupe:

Besides Jordans and Tarrahs there were some other nice cars there as well.

This is Tarrah's car so she will be deciding on her own just like her younger brother Jordan did on his on how she wants her Fiero to look. She already has some sweet aftermarket rims coming for it and is also considering a terminator spoiler as she likes how Jordans looks, but I think that is the most extreme she seems to want to get so far. She did want to have some kind of decal of a flying Pegasus on the sides of the car last I heard. We will keep you all updated in this thread on how her Fiero project evolves

Steve

You're not one to talk about paint, man

That was how I saw my first Fiero. I was in the High School Car club, and we were having car shows for homecoming week, and the class President broght in his red 84 Fiero. It was love at first sight I'm not sure, but I may even own the same car!

Day 2 of Tarrah's High Schools Spring Fling. It was loudest car contest today so Tarrah had her mother (LVMY88) bring her growling Fiero:

I took off another lunch so I could stop by and get a few pics:

LVMY88's black beast

I had to get back to work before I got to hear if Tarrah's mother won or not.
Will let you know as soon as I find out.

Are those 205/40/17 tires on Jordans car?

You should get some more rubber on those things....either that or it needs to be lowered a lot. The sidewalls are too thin. Just my opinion though.

Yes I agree. They look like rubber bands on those rims. Looking back now, we really should have gone with 18" rims and a little higher profile tire. It was a package deal though and I didn't catch the tire size until it was too late and we were home and putting them on the Fiero.
Can't really lower it much more as the chin spoiler scrapes half the time as it is
Oh well, live and learn

This first pic shows Tarrah's new 16" rims on her '87 Fiero:

Tarrah's birthday was on July 2nd. These pics show one of her birthday presents, the rear spoiler she was wanting:

Not this FOURmula. It's a 2.5 litre. It's the same as putting NOS and other stickers on your car for things you don't have.

Well ya see, when she got the car it was a plain black '88 coupe. But when she went to get it registered and inspected she was told it might be a Formula. I had never heard of a Formula with a 4 cyl but then a few brought up other oddities like a A/C delete Indy and a few other "one of" Fieros that apparently made it out of the factory. Before she waited to confirm this or not she decided what the heck and went ahead and picked up the correct Formula decals. Once she found out it wasn't a Formula afterall by having Boomtastic look at her VIN at a show a few years ago she decided she liked the look of the decals on it anyway and decided for the time being to keep it that way. I think though the only Formula decal left on the car since her paint job is the windshield one.
I guess it isn't any different than those we have seen that have Pace Car decals on the doors of non pace car Fieros or like the lady at the show earlier this year that still has "Suspension by Lotus" on her windshield.
It's her car and thats the way she wants it I guess.

I don't know who this apparent newbie is (5 posts up till this point) but as they are coming right out of the gate with comments like this I am going to guess they are either a very rude newcomer, a recent banned member that has snuck back again or a current member with another ID so you can slam people without worrying about getting banned?
BTW: This is a thread about my daughters new Fiero and not her mothers black '88 so lets keep it that way OK?
As for the NOS and decals I will also assume your talking about Jordans? If so the NOS works fine and the decals all represent something that is actually on or in the car
If that was a general comment about others then, well, whatever.

Oh look, another apparently "new" member that thinks they know all about us

Edit: OK, so your not a "newbie" as you registered a couple months before I did. I guess thats why they say what they do about "assuming"
So I was wrong, but at least you don't see me going around and bashing people about stupid little things like what decal someone put on their car.
I didn't see you greg or anyone else slamming the girl that has "Suspension by Lotus" on her windshield. You know why? Because it is her car and she can do whatever she wants with it, same with Marian and everyone else.

If that was a general comment about others then, well, whatever.

hay i'am a newbe! I have been lerking for all this time and I must say 99.99999999% of the time it is your dumb comments, BS and more BS that have promted me to stick my nose in and spend more time posting to the carp you post it's fun to see you do so much back pedeling,
your feet must be killing you?!
