i stripped the engine compartment 100% down and removed ALL of the brackets... ALL of them!!
(my goal was a nice clean install,)
then i sprayed the entire compartment with the spray in truck bead liner stuff, and it turned out AWSOME, im relly with the quality and hardness of it, then the cradle i cut off all the exhaust hanger's and such and refinished that in a low gloss black
i did a few smal easy things that "I" think relly helped eliminate clutter in the engine bay, first the fuel line goes straight out of the engine bay in the shortest route , right into the pass side fenderwell, i have a glass see-through filter in the engine bay, plus i have one before the pump
the wireing was all routed out of the engine bas in the shortest route possible aswell, as you can see in my low quality blurry pics, there are 2 relays on the pass side fender well, one is for the electric water pump, and the other is for the fuel pump, im running a one wire setup alternator, which means that as long as its turning, its puttn out juice
i still have stuff to do on the car, like the battery will be re moounted up front, so that is why you can see the battery cable just kind of draped in the engine bay for now, the car runs good, the carb is kinda junk, but it works for the time bieng, its cold blooded as hell, no heater core or anything was hooked up (yet)

the engine only has about 30 miles on it, it is a freshley rebuilt (professionally ) 4 bolt 350 from a 74 vette, bored .030 over making it a 355 Ci.
world product S/R tourker heads 76cc with 170cc intake runners that have been professionally ported /polished to the max, Weiand Stealth intake, im not sure on numbers on the cam right off the top of my head, but the guy at the machine shop said it would be good for an easy 380hp, i also have 1.5 roller rockers, the carb is an CARTER and it relly could use a rebuild, but im thinking that im just going to check into fuel injection come spring time tranny is a 3.65 4 speed, and im using a 4 puck spec stage 3 clutch, my goal was to have it quiet, so im running 2-1/4 exhaust which consists ofsanderson cc90's, 2 cats AND 2 mufflers, and its not as quiet as i'd like but its as quiet as anyone could get a V8 fiero
so.. here are the poor quality pics, i wish i had a better camera because it relly looks great in person and i wish i could show you guys with better pics

Looks great Rich !

If you want a cheap solution for the front battery box, try a tray like this one I built for my IMSA project. I strapped one of those $9.oo plastic battery boxes on top of it, and ran welding cable up the tunnel.

WOW thanks for the nice words and tip on the battery tray,
as for the exhaust, i used to have pics but i lost them all, (puiter carshed)
its similar to the setup on the stinger, im running e catco cats, and the mufflers look like resonaters, but have a baffle in them, my exhaust guy did an awsome job on the setup, and i also have oval caddy tips i did have to ditch the trunk, i could hae gotten away with onlu loosing about 8" of trunk depth, but i just layed a Pc. of tin on side, i figure ill probibly never take the car to the grocery store anyways

moroso makes somthing similar called the spiral flow, Jegs part number for them is: 710-94050

i belive the guy at the exhaust shop called my mufflers "Turbo Packs"

Looks good Rich. Looks like its going to be turning out to be one clean install. Kudos to you...

Might have to look into that batt tray as well. It appears to be one way to save a bit on the cost of the ones that are being sold online currently.

How come yoiu manage to stuff a sinkin' great V8 in there and it looks like there's room to spare for a football game and I just put my DOHC 3.4 back in and the roaches are having trouble finding room to hide

Very nice work. Makes me sick!!!

The thing that's amazed me on the SBC swaps that I've seen in person is that there looks to be MORE room to work on the engine than with the stock 2.8 V6. The only tight spot is the front accessory brackets, but it's not like there's tons of room there to begin with. I was really surprised.

Oh, and here's a pic of those Moroso "turbo packs"

A really small spiral flow muffler. Pretty slick.

Main difference between stock V6 or a 3.8 and a SBC is exhaust routing. If you take the Fiero headers and route them down instead of over the transmission you will see the same space
