I bought a Kenwood off Ebay that does MP3's and has the color changing face. It is a great stereo. I just found one on Ebay for $123. It is a KDC-MPV5025. It will change colors gradually, so you get just the right orange-red you want.

Seems the best solution is to go with a later Pontiac radio. The lighting is perfect. There are some models are cassette radios that control the GM CD changer. That is what I have and pictures of. There is also a CD model. Sorry the night picture are fuzzy but the radios do look great at night and of course they match the Fiero interior perfectly.

I got a Aiwa cdcx144 that lights orange (or green, beh) it's a pretty close match, maybe half a shade lighter/brighter. I'm not sure how "cool" of a cd player it is, I didn't really care... but I can say on my factory speakers (turned only to the back because one of the front ones is staticky) it sounds pretty good. I got it for $100 installation included at Circuit City.
the one in Lonewholf 's car. it has many colors. And it can go with a negative image such as red background with black numbers or black background with red numbers. And it's 7 color and able to shift between the colors. Not sure what it was but I'm pretty sure you can find pics and info about it in his thread.

You gauges light up red? All the Fieros I've seen have orange lighting. On the newer pontiacs, yeah they're red, but not Fiero.
I'm going to get the Digital gauges that are all red. Looking for a stero to match. Thanks for all the info people. The back lit red with black numbers sounds great.

I've got a JVC unit that has 500 and some odd number colors. You can tune it until you get the right one, or you can leave it on a continual shift between all of them.

Really would like to match the stereo with the dash lights.
AH ha It's been confirmed ... I am not the only "fruit cake" who shops for stereos based on what color they light up and how it matches the interior rather than the quality and options of the unit itself in mind.
Myself, I am one my third Sony Xplod. Not a very good unit, (>third one< ) but hey ... it matches the dash lights. Good enough for now. Besides, once I turn the key I barely can hear the thing anyways.
dont you mean Sony Implode. The big problem i have always had with Sont Car stereos is that they usually run hot, resulting in early replacement. Alpine all the way for me.
