A buddy of mine is broken down in his S-10. He says he is about 130 miles from Vegas, just across the Utah border. He rented a car and came on into Vegas. He was in Montana and is trying to go back to Nashville. He thinks the truck has a blown head gasket. It still runs, just very poorly. If we can get it back to Vegas then I can come pick it up next weekend or something...

Anyone? Any ideas? He's planning on leaving Vegas in the morning to go get all of his belongings out of the truck.

Okay.. So no one in Vegas has a trailer and not busy this weekend... Anyone want to buy a heckuva deal on an 89 S-10 pickup with lots of new parts, including tires, battery, alternator, etc... Also has camper top. It's got a 2.5 Duke in it with an apparent blown headgasket. I hate to think my buddy is going to have to lose this truck in the middle of nowhere...

Anyone? Either way? Help or buy?

Does he have AAA, or Travelers insurance? We had travelers when we picked up my 87GT from MA in May of this year. Some stuff happened and they paid 250.00 of the 800.00 tow home. I'd help out if I was closer my man, but Im no where near ya . Im sure someone will help if you flashed some cash. Too bad people have to be that way. Keep asking around.

I think he does have AAA. Not sure if he has standard or Plus. Plus is good for 100 miles. Standard is only worth about 7. If he has Plus, maybe they can bring him in closer and I can convince someone to help out. If not for Rie's daughter's birthday this weekend I would already be gone. I may just end up going all the way to Utah next week sometime to get the truck if no one can help out..
