After working on the car all last spring and summer I got the car running and took it to the paint shop in September of 2003. Yes 2003, I just picked up the car today. When I took the car to him, he said he did not paint or work on a car unless he is in the mood. 9 months later I finally got my car back today. It is now just like a new car. It only has 28,000 miles on it.
See what you think.

Sweet! Hey I have set of those 13" rims too and they are also in Kentucky! No body seems to want them so I have them stored away. Maybe someday that little wheel look will come back.
Long wait on the paint but seems to be worth it. Very nice. Congrats.

Very nice! I have an 85 2M4 which I bought found sittting abandoned back in April and have been restoring her. It's in ok shape, but could use paint. I have the exact same rims on mine and will be shining them up when I have time. I was going to buy a larger set of 15's, but I was told that these little 13's work great with the torque put out by a 2.5.
I should have her on the road in a week or 2.

The paint job looks great, and I bet the pictures don't even do it justice. I cannot believe the shine in it! Very awesome! I cannot believe he made you wait 9 months, but man it looks like he did one heck of a great job on it! Congrats, and enjoy!!

Lookin good. If the paint/body is excellent, then 9 months would be ok with me. Hopefully they actually took their time and you don't find any flaws or redoos. I think you need some nicer wheels tho. Good Luck

Thanks for all the replies, I am going to try to answer all your questions, and going to ask you guys a question also. The only options on the car is tilt steering, and air. The interior is almost mint no tears or rips in the seats and I still have the orginal floor mats in the car. I will post a couple of shots of the interior.
Here is my question. I did have the painter install the fiero side scoop on the car and I am not sure if I really like that or not. I still have the old one so I could put that back on.
The other question is I have the sticker that says Fiero 2M4 that goes on the trunk however after I saw it painted I could not decide if I wanted the 2M4 sticker on the back or not. What do you guys think about the sticker?
And the paint job costed 2,500.00

This car is so very nearly a perfect example of what a STOCK Fiero should be that I would remove the side scoop and put the sticker on .... I'm all for mods if the car just wasn't up to snuff before restoration began .... BUT ... your ride is so close to original .... well need I say more ???

I'm with Dale. You have a beatiful example of a stock Fiero. Put the original side scoop back and the 2M4 sticker. You see very few original base Fiero coupes at shows. Although you waited a long time for the job to get done, the results look worth it... There is nothing worse to be trying to rush a painter doing a good job on the car, they can really mess the job up if they want.
Now the challange is to keep it looking that good.
