I'm tearing a 87 GT down cause i don't have time or money to fix it.I'm about to cry. It's worth more in parts than whole. It needs a timing chain and a crack fixed in the rear. This is a sad day.

Thanks scott i'm sad enough i need the shop space and fewer projects to concentrate on so they will get finished. I promise to put three GTs on the road from this sacrifice. It is still sad to do it.Two 88s and an 87 will bennefit from this plus lots of extra parts. A complete GT grey interior and sub wolfer sytem will be extra as i have no use in the other cars for them. I will even use part of the frame and trunk box on my 87. i may even finish up an indy iv'e been working on with some of this stuff.cry sniffle sniffle It is really hard to do even when i justify the bennefits. I feel like i'm confessing a sin.

It's now a chassis and drivetrain soon to be just chassis. One of the 88s is almost complete except the rear vent supports are not interchangable from the 87 darn it so i have to find those.
I'm interested in selling the stock sub system and the interior steeri8ng column from the 87 also the four 15 in GT wheels with GT II eagle tires in great shape.

The Pick n Pulls don't turn over cars too fast, so that 88GT in South San Jose may still be there. As far as I know, the T-Top frame is still there. Toddster got the stuff off it, but he didn't cut the roof off. When I was there, it was in ok shape. If its still there, I'll bet the vent supports are still on it.

I got it last week. I have the entire T-Top set-up including the rear glass. But if I remember correctly the vent supports are still there.
It's OK pokey... you're not killing the car - you're sacrificing it for the better of the many
Don't let him off the hook, Rob. He's killing a perfectly good GT. The sinner! He may go to Fiero hell, where he is forced to drive 84 4-cylinders with engine problems.

I didn't think about that till now!! If i would have looked at it that way i wouldn't have done it.
I don't have time to check that yard it's to far away.I need the mounts under the vents i got the vents here somewhere. My barn is four feet deep in fiero parts and i can't find anything.

LOL - not necessarily letting him off the hook, but I do understand that sometimes they just have "to go" ...or consider the alternative:
