Ok one, who does the conversions?

2. how hard would the swap be if I did it myself?

3. who does wiring harness and for how much?

4 who makes the mounts? And for how much?

5. does this engine require an addapter plate for the Fiero 5 speed?

Ed Parks at the Fierofactory, PBJ in Canada and Rockcrawl in PA. I think bubbajoe does them

Quite a few people can do the swap for you, PBJ (London, Ontatio Canada, Rockcrawl, (PA)), DarthFiero, (IL?), Ed parks , (Tonery AL) and many more I forget)
The swap can be quite involved, Some issues, wiring (ED PArks sells a harness for $700), Mounts (many sources Ed Parks, Bubba Joes), Axles etc

I think Darth Fiero is currently in Iowa but plans to move to Indiana soon.

Topic of this thread should be changed to "I wanna copy James"

Ya know, Craigs doing a 3800SC, you should do that.

Plan on spending four grand to do the swap (2K for parts, 2K just because (or labor)). Not saying that it'll cost that much, but it is a good idea to have enough money set aside for the "Oh spit" things that always seem to pop up (AKA: better safe than sorry - and unable to drive your car). Mine cost a little more than that (mainly because I added the 88 cradle/suspension sort of late in the planning). Worst case, contact Rockcrawl, PBJ, Ed Parks, etc - they are all helpful and knowledgeable about the 4.9 swap.

Plus any $$ left over can be used for something else on the car after the engine is in and working...

------------------
1987 Pontiac Fiero GT Project - Work in Progress
COMPLETE: 93 Deville 4.9 / 4T60e, 88 Fiero cradle and rear suspension, WCF engine bay insullation, Held/KYB rear coilovers, Flowmaster 80, 2" shortened automatic shifter, 85 Fiero GT seats, 84-87 strut tower brace, Tom's Flushmount headlights, FieroWarehouse side scoops, Optima red top battery, Lumina AM/FM/CD, Mustang scoop (nearly complete)
WORKING: 95 Firebird dash, Firebird console, Firebird door panels, KYB shocks, Eibach front springs, front end poly kit
FUTURE: Streetglow underbody neon, month at the body shop (paint and body), rework cold air intake
