I ran the drags at wheatstock with my 88 coupe and got a best of 18.34 in th 1/4. I know not real impressive but I didn't expect much. I plugged that number and a wheight of 2600 pounds into an online calculator and it indicated I had 98 HP at the crank. This seams very unbeleavable to me. Are these calculations any good at all?

Better tack on about 200 more pounds. Dont forget your own body weight.

Seems like you car is not tuned to it best. you should be in the 16's and about 130-135hp.

He said 88 COUPE = 4cyl so that sounds about right.

There is a guy here in PA with an 85 coupe 4 banger automatic that runs 18.06 consisantly. Not fast, but in bracket racing he always did very well.
