I want to replace the sticker on the engine plenum, but i dont want the sticker to burn off or something, any suggestions? can i buy the material and print off my computer?
That area does not get hot enough to burn the vinyl. Now if you put it on the exhaust, that's a different story. I believe that is what the original sticker is made from.

Hello, I own Vinyl Options in San Francisco. Let me explain it to ya. Metalic like stickers will do fine about 10 dollars at vinyl shops. these are the chrome mirror, gold mirror. bronze and other colors that look like metals. You can place any other on the engine BUT it may shrink and leave an outline of glue in the original shape. Also, plain vinyl CAN change colors and look burnt after a while, and once that happens its harder to get off. these vinyls you can get for about 5 dollars. If it were me I would pay the little extra and get the better sticker.

Most vinyl is pretty durable. Make sure you ask for the good stuff. I use either Avery 8 year, or Avery 4 year depending on what I'm doing. All PFF decals and anything that sits outside needs to be durable gets the 8 year. Decals applied to paint/windows get heated up quite a bit too!
