My friend has a chevy corsica he is getting rid of. He said I can have anything off of the 1989 2.8 v6 car. can the intake or heads be used on a fiero for better performance; would they flow better?
Are the heads aluminum or cast iron; and is there anything else I could grab?
Anyone want anything?

All 2.8's other than the fiero's made less HP due to the low-output heads. Intake is different, IIRC. Nothing worth really anything. That's why the Fiero 2.8 is the "2.8 HO".

The 2.8 on the Corsica is a Gen II aluminum head 60 degree V6. You would have to swap the whole top end onto the Fiero block for it to be usable, so you might as well just swap the whole engine and it's not really worth it except for better flowing heads. It is a high output 2.8 just like the Fiero.

What year did they switch to the Gen II 2.8?

1987 was the first year for the Gen II. It was never used in the Fiero, just in W-Bodies(Cutlass, Lumina, Regal, Grand Prix), L-Bodies(Corsica, Beretta), J-Bodies(Cavalier), etc.

I knew 86 had the Gen I, always wondered what year was the first for the II.
