It's a 60 degree v6 for the Cadillac CTS's....255 hp.

Anyone have one in their Fiero?

Any details of this beast?

Weight comparisons-vs-2.8 v6?

I know it's an aluminum block & heads, but how much is the weight difference?

Because it's a 60 degree v6 it makes me think this is the version of the 3.4 liter DOHC GM wanted to put out, instead of the 215 hp version......

Will it bolt up to a Getrag?

I think it's a bit early to see this swapped into a Fiero, but I'm pretty sure it will happen.
I think it's a crapshoot, whether anything will bolt up.
If they make *anything* compatible, it'll prolly be the tranny. If they do that they can still use the existing design 4T60 and 4T65.

its rear wheel drive.. so it will not likley just bolt up to any Longitudional Transaxles, but it does look like an interesting swap.. though these newer engines, expesialy the Caddies are pretty complicated swaps and getting more and more with the newer by wire tec.

CTS is rear wheel drive, the bolt pattern on the housing probably won't match the FWD pattern on the Fiero trannies.

You'd probably need an adapter.

It's the upgrade engine in the Buick Rendezvous, too. (The base Rendezvous engine is the 3400.) Apparently it will be available in FWD configuration as well.

And whats better, it should be an almost bolt in to the tranny . 4 cams, toyota VVTi system, 3600cc displacemnt, and allunium heads....*drools*...I want one....
