just picked up a short block from Coinball (excellent guy to deal with BTW). its a 2.8 bored 0.040 over, custom TRW forged and notched pistons, ARP rod bolts, fully balanced rotating assembly, crane power max 427/454 lift oozing with assembly lube, windage tray (not installed yet) high volume oil pump and a double roller timing chain. The bottom end and pistons have 15,000 miles on them. everything turns over easily and you can still see the cross-hatching on the cylinder walls. the cam and timing chain are brand new. He also threw in a set of old 2.8 heads ill have to have ported (rockcrawl maybe?) and worked.
Plan is to get the Edelbrock torker 2 intake and holley 4-bbl for it with a set of Dennis LaGrua's headers. After a few miles are put onto the engine ill have a nice nitrous plate seperating the intake and carb

Only problem is a purchased a set of 1.52 ratio roller tip rockers before when this baby can handle the 1.6's. ah well, just have to get another set
