It's official, the production of 38oo Series II headers are in full swing, and we are ready to start taking orders for those that are ready to take their Fiero's performance to the next level. The first 5 sets that were sent out to the coater are gone, and another 4 sets are almost ready to make it out to be coated. Two sets are not going to be coated, for those that do not desire it.

** A little side info about the headers **
These headers are TIG Welded, performance coated, < or not for those that do not desire it >, and ready to be bolted up with "go fast while looking great" in mind.

The coating is not just for looks, as there is two different temperature barriers that are incorporated in this process. The external coating is temperature rated at just over 13oo* while the interior is rated at 2ooo*. These headers will not blue like others that are chromed, keeping the shine that you see from the first day that they are bolted onto your block.
Those that send their headers to companies like JET-HOTT are going to only get one temp coating inside and out, allowing for more heat to be transferred under the decklid, reducing performance, and leading to the increased possibility of issues arising.

** Technical info / options for ordering **

Collector Sizes:
You can choose either a 2 ½ inch collector, or a 3 inch collector.

EGR Solenoids:
You can get your headers with or without the EGR as again your needs dictate.

O2 Sensors:
You can have either one or two O2 sensors welded into the headers dependent on your needs.

Tubing:
The tube is a 1 ¾ inch primary, with a 3/8 inch header flange.

Pricing:
The coated headers are going to be: 75o.oo + shipping
The uncoated headers are going to be: 55o.oo + shipping

Here are the pics of the headers that are for another customer, and overall the look for the look, fit and finish of the headers that one will expect from performance solutions:

This is another project that we have going on at Performance Solutions. This is **NOT** for a Fiero. These are for the GRAND PRIX guys

Purty, anyone gotten any running temps off those yet? Is the coating you had used on inside supposed to retain the heat inside the pipe?

Only complaint... looks like they aren't even vaguely optimized/equalized for tube lengths. What if any design criteria was used besides mandrel bends?

Thanks

The only thing I don't like about this design is that the connection for the two banks is held together with a band clamp and no type of gasket. In other wards, they build up the headers on a block, completly weld it together, and then cut the two banks apart. I personally would like to see a flange here or one side lengthened and expanded so they slide together, but they assured me that they used the clamp on a set for a year without leaks.

Just my two cents.

hummm well by the pics (chrome ones) I don't see the connection ( No Y-pipe?) and where the collector is, would put it close to the intake tube wouldn't it?

Nice though.

and why post a pic of something that does not belong on a fiero? try clubgp.

My headers use a band stye exhaust clamp in the middle as they work very well. I have used this stye of clamp on streetrods for years with no falures to date. In my younger days I have changed a many of collector gaskets. I like to design my parts to be as trouble free as possible. By using this style of clamp you will never need to change the gasket. ( that WILL blow out in time)
