Hello, I'd just like to introduce myself. My name is Steve and I just bought a 1987 Fiero today. I have to say its an awesome car.
Driving my Firebird around was getting a bit...costly ($1.97/gal for super & <10mpg) so I decided to get a daily driver. I've always loved the look of Fieros and decided I'd get one. I picked up a blue one today about an hour away and it runs great. Just have some little things wrong with it. I'm probably going to rebuild the engine over the summer, even though with 100,000 miles on it it runs pretty well, no smoke or anything!
Just wanted to say hi to everyone! Hi!

Welcome to the forum. The get together Mark is talking about will be at Kick Hill in Lebanon, CT. They still haven't made a final confirmation about it as of yet.
Ohhhhh....a 70 Firebird with a 455 in it!! I can see why you needed something else to drive.....send pics of that one too! I love the 70 Firebirds....my daughter has an 85 GT and a 69 Firebird!
Once again, welcome to the madness!

Hey guys, sorry for the slow reply. I spent all day trying to replace the serp. belt, only to find out the entire tensioner assembley is shot. The part the bolt for the pulley threads into is broken and the tensioner spring part is all messed up. I'll be seeing if I can order a new one through a dealership on monday, since I cant seem to find anyone else who sells them.
I'll post the pics on monday when I get back to school and can use my desktop to host the images.
Wish me luck on finding that tensioner.
