Here are some pictures of an 84 Sport Coupe model I built. The pictures were taken at our model club meeting yesterday. Every meeting we bring in a model based on a certain theme. This month's theme was 3 wheels, so I brought in an 84 Fiero with an example of the 3 wheels that were available on the car in 84: The steel wheels, the turbo finned rims, and the high tech rims. Why a Sport Coupe? I didn't have any SE decals for the sail panels
There are three things you can count on at every GLSM meeting. 1 We will start late. 2 Albert will bring an Israeli jet and 3. Bob will bring in a FIERO! This is the 1984 Sports Coupe Factory replica Bob made from an MPC kit. Nice job Bob.
I bought the kit online a couple years ago for $22, but the guy hasn't had any more Fiero models. It's the original 1983 MPC kit, 0883, seen at the bottom here:
It took about 3-4 weeks to build. I added side windows and made the windshield out of overhead transparency. The windshield in the kit was dark tinted, and half melted!
I'll fix the trunk carpet Anything else wrong I missed?
There are strange chrome links in the rear suspension? And the holes in the Tech wheels are normally painted dark grey, though I can't tell on yours if that is the case.

Those "chrome link things" I'm not sure exactly what they are So since it's easier to paint them than it is to leave them chrome, I left them chrome until I figured out what color to paint them.
I made the engine so it and the cradle just drop out, so you can "Drop the cradle," but I need some little jack stands to support the car Actually the club theme for next month is Corvettes, so I'm thinking about bringing the same model back in with a Corvette LS1
man i got the same MPC kit, i got mine of ebay. i finished it 2days ago im just wating for my parents to get back with out digital camera. ill take some pics and post em
