It is a wingtip lens for a Boeing 747. You can get them from an airplane junk yard, or any airport. You can ask to see someone in maintanence and ask them to order you one. They run about $55.00 new. You need to go to the side of the airport where the work is done, not the terminal area.

The IRM one is the "Original" scoop. It was designed by Diversified Glass. When they close IRM bought the molds, When IRM closed Fiero Warehouse bought the molds. As for height above the roof, It depends on how you trim the base of the scoop. The scoop base needs to be trimmed for the decklid it's mounting to. It is set up to sit 2.5" above the roof (This is how high they were on the race cars) The original pace car was trimmed so the scoop sat 1/4" above the roof. It just depends on how you want the scoop to sit. Also the distance from the rear window is different between cars. The race cars had the scoop where the riser was up against the rear window. (You can't do this if you use the latch method of mounting and if you have a sunroof.) The Indy pace cars were 5" from the rear window (to allow the scoop to unlatch.) And the original instructions from DGP/IRM say to mount it 8" from the window. Pontiac's Racing division are the ones who modded the scoop for the light specifically for the pace car. Nobody ever made the Indy scoop with a light for general sale. Any you see were modified by the person who bought the scoop.
The pic on the Fiero Warehouse website is from my car, I kept the raised height so the scoop still got forced air with the sunroof opened. You do not have to have it at that height. But if you sit it on the roof like the pace car and open the sunroof, You will block the forced air flow.

I would like to get a set of the ones that fit on each side over air intakes on rear deck and extend over roof like this one, but have the air intake shape of this one! The intake of the ones I am talking about are not as clean a shape as this one...besides I really don't want to modify my deck, and the other ones fit onto the air intake grills already there...Know what I mean.....Does anyone know where you can get a set of the scoops that I am talking about? They shouldn't be that hard to make...I would be willing to pay good money for a set like I described.
