is there any difference? i ran a search on 2m6 and didn't find anything that would answer my question.

It's a V-6. The 2M6 designation was given to distinguish a V-6 model from an 4 banger (whose notation was 2M4).

All it means is a 2 seater, Mid-engine, 6 cylinder.

GM quit using it in 1987 (I believe), so only '85-'86 models with a V-6 (except the GT) have the sticker on the decklid.

Well, a 2M4 refers to the 4-cylinder Fiero. 2 seat, mid-engine, four cylinder. The 2M6 is the V6 Fiero. Both of these were decals on the right rear of the engine compartment lid.

edit: mrfiero types faster than I do . Also, I have heard of at least in few cars in 87 being badged with the 2M6 label.
