Welcome to the forum Ed. And yes, please share more info and definetly some pics on what sounds like a unique Fiero. Just curious, but why wouldn't you at least start it every few months if you want to truly preserve it? At any rate, welcome to the Fiero nut house

Welcome to the Wonderful Madness we call Pennock's. We may very well be the oddest group of people you will ever meet, But we also have some of the greasest people going!
Okay, Ed sent me another message w/ more information about his Fiero.
Message as follows:
Hi Dave,
I got your messages thank you. I have been busy. I will check them out today.
My Fieros history is a strange one. It was built in May 87 but somewhere between being built & the dealer it had a mechanical problem, so either the dealer or GM donated the car to a Tech school to be used as a teaching tool.
The school had no room for it as I heard so they put it in a storage facility for 14 years. Then tossed it as old technoligy. I bought it only for the fact it was never driven or titled. It has some minor bu8mps&bruises but otherwise looks like the day it left the plant in Michigan. it even has the tabs that hold the rotors on the axles still there.
It appears the school never took it apart. I plan on never driving it as with 79 miles it would spoil it. Also I need to start it as it hasnt run since 87. I am a mechanic So I know what to do. It still has factory chalk marks on tires, the GY Eagles are dryrotted though but i am leaving them on it.
If any Fiero members need a factory fresh car to photo as a reference to restore there car I would be helpfull to let them use mine as a guide. Also your car is new too so perhaps there are plenty out there.
I know of alot of 88s with low or no miles on them [being last year] and a 86 with 3 miles on it,are our 87s the lowest mileage ones around? I saw a 87 on ebay last year with 282 miles on it. Gold car sold for 14G
Buy the way my Fiero is not for sale LOL If ya want me to send pics of it email me your address

YES YES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! I've been looking for such pics for a long time! I WANT TO SEE!!! There are so many restoration guides and reference material for older cars, but nothing for the Fiero, so this would be an EXCELLENT opportunity if he'd be so kind as to share this information and pictures with us!

This sounds like the car sitting (literally!) around Brainerd, MN for quite awhile. It was a white coupe donated to the local vo-tech, who used it as a teaching tool.
It turned up on ebay around a year ago and went for alot less that you might think!
