Ok, not POR-15, the paint. They have a special product, Fireseal 2000, that is a putty designed to repair cracks in steel, stainless steel, or cast iron exhaust manifolds. Sounds like a great, inexpensive way to fix those cracked manifolds without even taking them off the car!

Well, if it was made by Ronco or Matell, I'd be skeptical, but POR-15 has a great reputation, so I'm inclined to believe it works. I'm gonna get some and see if it can patch a broken exhaust on my Mercury. Sounds better than $400 for a new muffler. (yes, $400, because it's a "special" muffler only available from Ford. I hate Fords).
