Touchy subject. Most people here build their cars for the joy of something different with more power, not caring about actual numbers. Some exaggeration of actual numbers is to be expected. Others love to slam those exaggerations. Alot will be posted after the drag races at the 20th Anniversary meet. http://www.cfogi.org/anniversary.htm (plug )

I would suggest you do a search in the archives first. There has been a lot of threads on this.

A stock fiero with a 4 speed Muncie will do at least 15.2 in the quarter and 0-60 in the 6.4 range.
With the right mods, that number will only drop.

I assume you're talking about the 2.8 not the 2.5 right?

Not bad Avengador.

Running a 3.4 right??

Nice torque curve either way but sure does drop off after 4500 rpm. Need some more top end power. Darn fiero intake system. Just too restrictive

Yeah, that's my ARI 2.8-3.4 conversion. It really is a torque monster on the low end. I had it out in the rain today, went to launch like normal, and ended up spinning the tires. I had to back off so the tires could grip the pavement again.

My best times so far are 13.5 sec 1/4 mile and 1.789 sec 0-60 ft. Running a caddy 4.9 PFI turbo with street tires. Hoping to better that with an intercooler when we have time.

I think he's talking about 0-60mph, not not 60'dash . "Zero to Sixty" times almost always refers to 0mph to 60mph . Just that I'd give my 2cents, lol.

Ha! Mine sure won't do that. Of course I've never taken it to the track. I plan to take it down the 1/4 one of these days just to see, though.

It varies between 96-99 mph. The more wheel spin I have at the start, the faster I'll go through the traps but the slower I'll be in overall time and vice versa.

6.4 0-60 in 15.2?
The best I've pulled with the auto 3 speed is 16.1, on a virtually stock 2.8. I'm not saying 15.2 with the 4 speed is inaccurate because obviously the 3speed auto would be slower, ie weight of the auto is roughly 100lbs more, drive line loss and sweet launch, but the 6.4 0-60 makes me think, I'm doing low 8's 0-60 and only .9 slower?
I've asked this question now 4 times without a response, thanks, but what do you think the 16.1 auto 3 speed would be with the stick then, sub 15? gain a second or more?

i ran a 15.2 at 94 with nothing done to the car except removed the cat. which just made it sound cool. i had the 4 speed totally stock. (far from that now)

and when he was talkin about 1.7 0-60 it wasn't mph it was feet and thats pretty good to, do you realize he'ld have to have about 800 horsepower to run 1.7 0-60 mph, my friends got a low 12 second stealth and his 0-60 is about 3.8 seconds he's pushing about 450awhp

what are you talking about?
I know he meant 0 to 60 feet before, but he also said 0 to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds and a time of 15.2. I just don't see how my 0 to 60 MPH could be like 8.4 and only be .9 slower in the 1/4 mile.
He's already hitting 60mph 2 seconds faster than me, so wouldn't he be way faster total at the end of the 1/4 mile.(instead of less than a second).
That would mean I would gain on him once I hit 60 mph, not likely since my car is a dog once it hits 3rd gear.
6.4 0 to 60mph @ 15.2 I find
