With reluctance, I have decided to sell my 85 fastback because I am moving to an apartment where I can only keep one car, so the Fiero has to go. If I can't sell it here, at least I tried.

I have posted the car to cars.com if anyone is interested. http://www.cars.com/search/used/cc/standard/results/single/ld/detail.jhtml?paId=123897264&aff=national&src=&cid=null

This car started out as a black 85 GT which was converted to a fastback, and it has ribbed molding all round.

There is so much that I have replaced on this car that the receipt totals are at least $2600 worth of parts and repairs. I'll even throw in an extra set of Olds rims with new tires that came with the car when I bought it. I would rather the car go to a good home and get it sold by the end of this month so that I won't have to transport it with me.

Tilt, Cruise, Auto, A/C, Rdefog, PW, PM, PL, sunroof, power trunk, etc...

New dew wipes
new door hinge bushings replaced
Rodney auto leather boot
Fierostore fiberglass headliner
New set of tires and 86 grey GT rims
rebuilt passenger headlight (both work fine)
New CS version 150 amp alternator
new radiator
newer hoses
New GM EGR Solenoid
Fierostore EGR tube and gasket
Replaced rear cracked stock manifold tube
Cleaned out all leaves from ventilation
Converted A/C to 134a freon
New brake pads
Newer shocks, struts, and wheel bearings
New right rear tie rod control arm
Replaced Auto tranny filter and seal
K&N Air Filter
new battery and Fierostore tray assembly
4 wheel alignment
New coil pack
New distributor assembly
New Bosch O2 sensor
Temp gauge sensor
Oil pressure sender
Pigtail wiring harness ends replaced.
New windshield
New windshield washer pump
New GM turn/cruise signal stalk.
New ignition lock tumbler
Replaced with newer GT grey steering wheel.
20% tint on doors
Sunroof tabs and seals replaced
New replicated fastback sails
Hard to find and discontinued Pioneer 3-WAY 4x10 speakers (TSA-4105 model).
stock subwoofer with Rodney speaker (will prefer to keep XM head unit and amp)
Lubed and repaired sluggish locks and windows
Seat bolsters are not ripped but seat bottoms are torn with seatcovers over them.
86-88 backlit GT gauges & Aux pod.
New grey headlight switch
Repaired GT tailights to working order.
New PW switches
New PL switches (all switches were converted to grey instead of black).
ARI remanufactured heads with Viton seals, rods, roller rockers, gaskets, etc. The cam was *not* replaced. The rockers tap when extremely hot but fine when cold.
Rodney Dickman steel exhaust hanger clamp
Rodney Dickman inner mud flaps and muffler flap.
Rodney Dickman stainless steel vacuum lines
Rodney premium Fiero GT wheel stickers

I have a digital camera and can take any picture of anything you like. Ask anything you are curious about...I have all receipts of the parts and the cost alone for that makes this a best buy. I found out the car was painted by Maaco, which makes it not the best by far, which was my only pet peeve. It's come along way and I think it wouldn't take much to make this an excellent driver.

ROFLMAO. Yah, this is umm, the limited edition 4X4 extended quad cab version. It came with power steering but I took that off because I didn't like it.

I bought an Acura RSX Type S today and I must get my extra car gone to make room. (no I won't be ricing it out and no I won't be racing it just because it's an S.) :P

OK. I am dead serious this time. I originally had this car posted for $2990, now $2600. Shoot, I will work with whoever!!!!!!

I will take $2300 for this Fiero. C'mon folks I paid $2000 for this Fiero and that's before my $2800 worth of parts and labor. You can't beat that. I'm also leaving the 45 watt Pioneer stereo and Alpine $179 amp in the car. It already has the Rodney subwoofer.

Pictures I have of the car: http://www.kcwebconsulting.com/85FieroGTSale.htm

You're not going to find a buyer here, I couldn't even get someone to start the bidding at $1800 for my car that eventually brought double that. There are too many broke-ass dreamers on the forum.

I recommend putting in on Autotrader.com. I sold my car in about 2 weeks. And I would forget I ever offered it for $2300. It could easily bring $3200. Don't throw it away, you'll hate yourself for it later.

Looks nice, Boy, sure replaced allot of parts.

Nice fastback conversion. I kept thinking, 85 fastback ? Does look good.

To bad the Maaco paint job was flawed, (when aren't they ?), looks as they just painted over the silver lower trim w/out sanding or priming.

Had a car one, it wore a Maaco paint job for 9 months, then I had it redone the right way. The paint was pealing off the rubber bumpers. It was horrid.

It's always hard to get paint to stick to the side molding. Although is a nice monochrome look.

Only thing that looks like a red flag is the following statement : "The rockers tap when extremely hot but fine when cold."

Can you explain that in more detail ?

Could it have something to do with this ??

( I know you took the pic w/out the engine running,(I hope),I couldn't resist the joke)

Other than that, You're right, would made a nice daily driver.

Stimpy! You are so mean! lol. I know I am losing alot of investment on this. I look at it this way. I got my Fiero "fix" again with this car. I am posting it here to give someone internally a chance to keep it in the family of Fiero owners.

LOL....yes, the key was on but the car was not running!!! The car keeps oil pressure, the light does NOT come on ever when it's running. I've been using Mobil 1 20w50 synthetic and it works best to quiet the clicking/tapping. I'm just used to my DOHC cars that don't click like these pushrood engines do. The roller rockers are noisy, at least in my opinion, that when the car is running *235 degrees in the hot summer sun, the oil is thinned out more than I like it to be. The V6 just gets so dang hot.

I put in a *180 degree thermostat which helped tremendously. I just want to make it clear of what I've experienced with this car. I was told that with the mileage on this car, as with any car, it would be recommended to eventually replace the bottom bearings and it would assist with the oil pressure. It could be an oil pump..who knows. If anything, the car is a good excuse to pop in a v8!!! We all know how tired the V6's are.

As long as it's pumping oil, accelerates well and doesn't blow smoke I'll still drive it. But I've been driving this car all the time since I got it Dec. 01. Like with any Fiero engine, if it were to blow on me....I would take it at face value cuz I look at the overall age of most Fieros of this year. But I am not worried about that happening any time soon. Any Fiero this age you don't want to race or get past 4,000 RPM without doing a complete engine rebuild.

I live in a townhome complex that frowns on repairing your vehicle outside. My goals this year were to buy the Mr. Mikes covers and the carpet. I had also planned on redoing the headliner on the fiberglass board. Ohh well, I'll miss it though.
