There has to be something...and not general stuff, like "not enough power" or "so-so reliability", those are true of basically all cars from the 80s. I mean one little thing, or job, or maintenence procedure that just annoys the crap out of you. I will start; I hate the emergency brake lever. It is hard to reach, the button is kinda difficult, and I have to explain it to anyone who drives the car. Anyone else?
------------------ 87 GT Auto, Beretta GTZ Wheels, 225/50-16 Dunlop SP Sport A2s, Poly cradle/swaybar bushings, KYB shocks/struts, RCC Bumpsteer kit, 1" front & 7/8" rear swaybars, NYM rear springs (stiffest), H4 headlights, Fierowarehouse Scorpion scoop, 88GTNeverfinished tails, Repainted all silver, Fiero Store hitch, Accel SSR wires, Rapidfire plugs, K&N filters. Future mods: Rear control arm poly bushings, Front mounted battery, Hood pressure vent. 3800 S/C after all that!
I hate the oil pressure problems with the stock 2.8.I hate having to worry about how much I push a 16 year old engine.I hate haveing to think about pulling the motor to change a tranny.I hate the 4 inch wheel gap.I hate the fact that fastback tail lights are so expensive to replace. The list goes on Overall I enjoy my car and the looks it gets

I hate the lugnut. Specifically, the one just to clockwise of the locking lugnut on my right front wheel. I don't know why, but every time I see that lugnut it makes me want to start hitting things. It's gotten to the point that I'll walk all the way around my car to avoid seeing that lugnut. Oh, it thinks it's hidden under its little plastic cap, but I know it's there, it can't hide from me.

Blind spots when trying to look out the right rear of your car. Especially when approaching an intersection that has a median separating the two different traffic directions and you prepare to turn left and look for traffic. Agh, can't see anything.

I hate the fact that you're "always on your own" when you have to fix something. It's really annoying when a GM tech knows less than you do about the car. I'm specifically referring to "general" diagnostics that should follow the same procedure as any other GM. (In Sargeant Shultz voice) "They know no'tink".

I hate the fact that I have 3 and I want more....I mean how many cars can you drive at once? Oh! and I also hate the people that think that the "rust free" body they have sitting by the road makes it worth $XXXX.XX amount of dollars but, the rusted out trunk, cradle and a few cracked parts (Think GT) on it, make you think it's worth only $XXX.XX dollars. Mine is sitting, because the clutch izz flip'n me the bird, paint looks like sun burnt skin, drivers seat looks like a cat's scratching post, engine bay looks like someone set off explosives under the deck lid,and the wheels-n-tires look like they were pulled off a go-cart....but for the life-o-me...I can't think of one thing I hate about it....

I hate the fact that its slower than it looks....by far. People always wanna race, and unless its a stock civic, I'm doomed. The 60 degree V6 pisses me off to no end. Yeah, I said it. I feel soooo much better! not specific....I know and i dont care!

I hate making a left turn when there is a truck in the right lane, you can't see anything and pull out pretty much blind.. that and trucks headlights shining right in your rearview

I have to agree with the blind spot comment. I also have to say that I hate the fact that parts, especially interior, are getting very hard to come by that look any better than what you are replacing. All in all though I have to say that mine has probably been one of the easiest cars I've ever had to work on. I guess I'm just one of the lucky few that hasn't had to deal with broken/seized bolt removal, rust problems, etc.
With that said, I suppose if I were one of the other guys with all these problems I'd hate people like me that have all the good luck. hehe
I hate the fact that I end up buying everyone that I see for sale, I have had to seek professional advice. I hate that every cool mod I do only makes me want to do more. I really hate the fact that I don’t have enough money and time to finish the 3 that I have so I can buy more.

What do I hate? The overall quality is one. The frame itself is tank-like, and is very stiff. But what about the other parts? I hate the fact when you have a "low mileage" Fiero, and the headlight motors are shot. Same goes for worn seats, etc.
Mechanically - hate having to either fork out billions for brand new brake lines from only a couple of places in North America, or be forced to come up with your own fabrication to replace that darned line that goes from front to back. The metric fittings are certainly a hinderance here. The beginnings of severe trunk rot in a "low mileage" beast. Weak clutch pedals - these things are supposed to be built to last the life of the car!!! There's more, but you get the idea.
Thing is, though, I'm dealing with a car that's 20 years old. Low mileage or not, I know it'll need some attention - especially since many of the parts were original when I bought the car. I knew what I was getting into with an older beast....it's not the first time I've owned something this old.
However, I love working on cars, and some of the quirks I've faced are just challenges. Every car has a quirk of some sort - it's sort of what gives the beast it's personality.

- It costs me a lot of money... Not that it brakes down all the time, but the fact that I want to improve everything makes it tough on the wallet.
- Gas milage sucks. But it would suck no matter what car I owned due to the fact that my leg muscles aren´t strong enough to keep my right foot from flooring the gaspedal all the time.
- Headlight doors popping up at speed. And life as I see it begins at 100+ mph. Hood scoop will be done this winter to solve that though.
- Wheel gap. Not that hard to take care of, but I´m not too sure about cutting my springs. I´ll just have to wait until more money arrives so I can buy loering springs and new shocks.
- They are soooooo underpowered!!! It looks like a 0-60 in 5 sec and 180mph car, but that´s so far from reality for most of us.
- The fact that they understeer a lot. I´ll just have to install a bigger swaybar in the rear or beef up the stock one. ->winter project too.
- Living in Sweden and owning a Fiero... Parts are hard to find and PFF is about the only way to get help when you have a problem. And I just love PFF for that.
I do LOVE my car, but even the sun has its dark spots.

I hate the fact that some Jack-A$$ mechanic told me he had worked on several of them in the past and then when he lifts the car he totally screws up the rocker panels. To top it off, I finally got all of the NOS parts I've been looking for and now I find out he has done another $500 - $600 in "concealed" damage.
Don't you think that if you were going to lift a car, that you would look for a solid pice of steel or something, not a piece of plastic. At least he didn't crush my coolant tubes.
Sorry for the rant. But right now that is what I hate about my Fiero. Not to mention the fact I've not driven her for 2 weeks, and I miss the car like crazy.

Ditto to both. Also getting it to pass emissions. And the fact that it is an old car.
yours dosnt pass emissions. Sorry to sound like I am bragging but here are the numbers on mine HC 0.3405 limit is 3.0 CO 7.0162 limit is 20.0 CO2 317.6702 dont know the limit there NOx 1.4967 and the limit was 6.0 and everything else passed. However this was on a paper that I found in the car after I bought it, as where I live I dont need to do emissions tests. Odometer was at 67270 and I now have 74700 miles on it. btw its my Red 88 that the paper was for
